Scholarships are available for those who demonstrate financial need (see income guidelines below).
Need is based on the 2015 Federal Poverty Guidelines. Students from families that demonstrate such
need are eligible for one (1) scholarship per month. Please note that scholarships are limited and will
be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

2015 LOCKs (Lowell Observatory Camps for
Kids) for middle school children.
An “Introduction to Ast
ronomy”
Overview
These activity-based, week-long day camps run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. They are for students that will be going into
7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall. The topic of the camps is “Introduction to Astronomy”. Campers will enjoy learning
about topics in astronomy through fun, hands-on science experiments. They will learn how to identify constellations,
how to locate deep-sky objects and how to operate portable telescopes. Other activities will include hiking, drawing,
playing games, and more.
Tuition and Registration
Members: $225 per student
Nonmembers: $250 per student
