We asked Ms. Fiorino a series of questions. How many kids have come to the school since last year? Did You Know… · Honey never expires Since last year, there has been an increase in enrollment. We have 340 students and currently have 260 families. Hopefully, next year’s 8th grade class will be the first to graduate upstairs since before Ms. Fiorino came to ICS. Are there any new plans for a new school? Father Sannella is waiting to hear from the Archdiocese of Boston for permission to build a new school. Page 2 WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Olivia Gavriel, a graduate of I.C.S. class of 2005, graduated two years ago from Salve Regina University. She majored in Set Design and Technical Theater. Before college she attended Lowell Catholic High School. Presently, she works at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the registration office. Although she works full-time, she makes time to keep involved in local theater. She encourages I.C.S. students to keep moving forward toward their future goals. Her advice to current I.C.S. students - “you have to stay true to who you are to find the happiness in your future.” Art and Music Show This past spring I.C.S. students participated in the annual Art and Music Show. Both programs were attended and enjoyed by students, parents, and faculty. Students would like to thank Mrs. Gavriel and Mrs. Lavallee for all their hard work and dedication to our school! Page 3 The I.C.S. Girls and Boys Basketball teams both had great seasons! The Girl’s Varsity had a great season and made it to the second round of the playoffs. The All-Stars were Lindsey Bohenko, Julia Sullivan, and Lily Diamantopoulos. The boys varsity had a very successful season only losing one game in the regular season. Unfortunately, they lost in the championship game by 5 points to the St. Louis School. The All-Stars were Johnny Donovan, Aidan Foyle, Chris Men, and Bryan Klobucher. Their coach George Yfantopulos was nominated for the Coach of the Year award. The J.V. team also had a successful season making it to the championship game.
