Ray Tognella/Infield /Hitting Instructor Ray Tognella, is the Vice President of Luna Baseball/ Softball Academy and is the operations manager and owner of “ The Bat Cave LLC”. Ray is truly a great young instructor who teaches and instructs with the heart, passion and knowledge that many instructors in this game lack. His old school values and principles are a perfect fit for this organization. Ray was a 3 year Varsity starter and Baseball Team Captain at Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus NJ. In 1994, Ray was a Member of the USA - NJ 16 year old team. This former All League Player and American Legion All Star received an NCAA DI Scholarship to play baseball at St. Peters College, Jersey City NJ. Ray was named Team Captain of the “SPC Peacocks” in 1999. Ray, not only achieved athletic excellence on the field, he also achieved academic excellence in the classroom earning a spot on the “All MAAC” Academic List. After college, he continued his playing career in the North Jersey Majors (North Jersey Met League) from 19971999. Aside from instructing for Luna Baseball, Ray is currently a guest instructor for Pro Camps. Ray is currently an Assistant Baseball Coach at Paramus Catholic High School. He was the 16U Manager and Lead instructor for the Luna Orioles Organization in 2013 and currently the NJ Yankees travel club manager, running the 18U team in 2014 for former Pro Pitcher and Luna BB Camp pitching instructor Paul Magrini.
