We’re looking for Solar Volunteers
to join us in the Andes of Peru!
Be a solar volunteer and work alongside LUTW
installing solar home systems in a remote
community in the Andes. Training is included
so no previous experience is necessary.
LUTW established its first regional office in
Peru to serve the estimated 4 million people in
the country without access to electricity. LUTW
has been supporting families to transition to
renewable energy in Peru since 2011 and has
prioritized working in the regions of
Huancavelica, Apurimac, Ayacucho and Loreto
– some of the most remote and underserved
parts of Peru.
Itinerary highlights
• Day 1: Arrive in Lima, Peru
• Day 2: Briefing, introduction to LUTW, and
explore sites around Lima
• Day 3: Travel to project region, presentation
on solar project, and acclimatize
• Day 4: Solar training workshop
• Day 5: Travel to project community and begin
installations
• Day 6: Installation of solar systems in homes
• Day 7: Installation of solar systems in homes
• Day 8: Installation of solar systems in homes
• Day 9: Installation of solar systems in homes
• Day 10: Travel back to central town, visit local
ruins, and de-briefing
• Day 11: Travel back to Lima, end of solar
program, depart Lima (or optional trip extension
to Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred
Valley)
Extend your trip for 4 days…
Visit the ancient Incan city of Machu Picchu, a
UNESCO World Heritage site, trek in the Sacred
Valley and explore the beautiful city of Cusco after
the project. We’ll organize everything including
accommodation, flights / bus/ transfers, entry fees
and guides – contact us for more details!

PROGRAM FEE: $2,650 (Includes internal flight,
meals and accommodation. Contact us about the
