We assess for key insights and apply best practices in order to raise awareness and build organization-wide desire to embrace the new way. Organization-wide change considers the people responsible for change, the processes that are changing or that have to be considered, and the culture. While it’s better to start early, during the planning phase, change management may be begin during implementation to increase the odds of the culture and people embracing the new way. The practice of change management becomes crucial if organization-wide support is needed for a successful change. This could be as large as a company merger, or as simple as reviving a policy that was established but never embraced. Transformational Leadership Organizations may be highly participative, stagnating with complacency; or they may be very transactional, with a workforce that ends up experiencing chaos when the existing processes and structure they know so well begins to change, and their experience loses relevance. We tailor our workshops, training and coaching style to create transformational environments, designed to engage with individuals. Organizations that successfully implement a change in structure, policy or behaviors may wind up seeing the culture slowly resorting back to the old way. With millennials entering the workforce and Gen-Z on the way, employees will be expecting diverse and inclusive environments. They will also be expecting diverse leadership. While the organization may have the right policies in place now, if leadership and the culture isn’t ready, there will be trouble ahead. Applying Change Management Lyon Change Consulting has been asked to solve a common business problem. While the processes, policies and the staples of employee resource groups may be in place, organizational leaders are struggling to make diverse and inclusive workforces a reality. Diversity-related issues are typically deferred to human resources. While this may be an important step for the organization, HR professionals often struggle with a lack of objectivity and transparency with employees. We work with senior leaders to gather objective feedback for the organization by carefully investigating each environment. Our team �inds the weak spots within the organization, where diversity of thought and individuals are not embraced or engaged. We provide coaching and workshops to raise awareness of the value of diversity of thought. We work to embed the values of diversity and inclusion into the culture. If environments aren’t embracing diversity policies and diversity of thought, we may recommend change management. Solving The Employee Resource Group Problem Major organizations have employee resource groups (ERGs) for veterans, disabled, women, LGBT and many other employee demographics. However, once those groups are in place, they wind up under-funded due to a lack of measurable ROI, and only a handful of ERG leaders and Diversity & Inclusion professionals bene�it from the offer of visibility. Lyon Change Consulting dedicated 18 months researching the issue. We consult on how to create new opportunities for diverse employees, while leveraging these groups to add greater value to the organization.
