Dear Families,
Thank you so much for showiflg an interest in our Young Writers' Camps. Our vision is
to focus closely on the writers, a$es 8-17 {rising third graders to rising seniors}. Although we
want our Gamps to be fun with ne\Ar experiences and opportunities to build new friendships,
I.C.E. Writers' Camp was created to provide an environment in which writers feel safe to
explore their abilities and receive feedback on the writing proces$ by their peers and Tampa
Bay Area lJVriting Project Consultants. Although.we try tc incorporate technology as much as
vrye can, our writers will be using.pen and paper first! Please note that this is not a remedial
camp; rather it is fast-paced and vigorous with lessons that are in-depth and challenging.
Please take careful consideration when applying.
This year, we are excited to annbunce that we have added new options for camp
locations in Pinellas, Pasco, AND East Hillsborough County {Valrico} Counties to our,existing
Hillsborough locations! Space is limited at each camp and campers MUST be accepted. Please
be sure your CAMPER completes this application and answers all of the questions carefully.
Any incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed.

3. lnclude a short note in your email to the l.C.E. Vllriters' Team stating why you would like
to attend camp AND why you think you would be a good fit for this writing camp.
I urge all NEW campers to review the website: www.tbawp.com (click Young Writers'
CampsllCE) before submitting your application. This will give you an overview of the vigor our
camps provide.
Spaces will not be filled first-come, first-serve. However as applications are received in email,
they will be reviewed and accepted. Once the camp is full, we will put you on a waiting list.
After you have been accepted, Vou will be notified by email by the specific locations'site
director{s}. Please note: locations fill up quickly. So apply soon!

summer. 7Aolo of our campers are o',veteran" campers who return year-after-year. Our slots fill
mainly by word of mouth! Our success is from our community and friends!
