Mr. Flitton, Mr. Harrison and the entire staff have witnessed many students performing random acts of kindness in class and in the schoolyard. Way to go Mustangs!! St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School will have a busy March and April. Aside from our many student activity clubs (French, Dance, EQAO Mathletes, Chess), we will have students competing in the Lion’s Club public speaking contest; “Fun in Athletics” at Holy Trinity; and the school ice hockey tournament at the end of the month. In April, our grade two students will participate in a Sedar Meal with Sister Jean, Grade eight Confirmation Retreat, and the grade six will finish the month at Scanlon Creek. To help parents and students get ready for this important milestone, our board has developed an awardwinning package. We encourage parents who are looking to register their child for Kindergarten to drop by the office to pick up a copy of the package, which includes a parent booklet, child’s activity book and DVD. Mustang News Page 2 of 4 School Reconciliation On Monday February 23rd, our school celebrated reconciliation in the gym for students in grades 2 to 8. The classes prepared for this sacrament the week of February 17-20. A huge thank you goes out to Father Boniface and Father Allyn for organizing this great event for us. Intermediate Boys and Girls Basketball The Intermediate Boys and Girls basketball teams have completed their season with a tournament at Holy Trinity and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High Schools. The boys and girls represented their school very well, displaying excellent teamwork and sportsmanship. Congratulations goes out to both teams for making the finals, and to the boys for their championship win. Thank you to the coaches Mr. Petrovich and Mr. Ellis. Yearbook Do not miss out! Mustang news Page 3 of 4 Parent Council On March 2nd, the St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School Community Council hosted an information night. For the first hour, members of our community listened to presentations from Edge Imaging, LifeTouch and Apple Studios as part of our transparent process to decide who will be our photographer for the 2015 – 2016 school year. At 7:00 p.m., our school community gathered in the gymnasium to listen to presentations in the gym regarding the up-coming renovations. On behalf of the members of your Parent Council, we would like to thank all of the families that came out to show support for our school community.
