Please double-check all your documents, against the list provided below, and make sure that you carry all the required documents with you. Note: Majuba FET College is now called Majuba TVET College. If you are financially needy and academically performing, you will be permitted to apply for financial aid to fund your studies at Majuba TVET College. It must be noted that an application for financial aid, does not guarantee that you will be awarded a bursary by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). To qualify for financial aid, you must comply with the following: 2015 DHET TVET College Bursary Scheme Rules and Guidelines; and Criteria stipulated by the College Financial Aid Committee (FAC) of Majuba TVET College; and Admission and Re-Admission Criteria of Majuba TVET College. Kindly note, Majuba TVET College provides all forms, the PACE Test, PACE Test Report and Means Test Results, FREE-OF-CHARGE. Part 2 of 2: Requirements to Apply for a DHET Bursary for Transport/Accommodation Note: You are permitted to apply for either a transport allowance or an accommodation allowance, but not for both. Supporting Documents that Must be College Forms that Need to be Completed and Attached to your Application Attached to your Application Rental Allowance Agreement Form The Rental Allowance Agreement Form has been completed by both your Landlord and Yourself. (If not staying at home whilst studying) The following supporting documents have been attached to the affidavit, for each address provided: You are required to submit a Rental Allowance Agreement Form, which can be obtained from the Campus. Transport Allowance Affidavit You are required to submit a Transport Allowance Affidavit, on the form AS3.1.12, which can be obtained from the Campus. A copy of the Municipal Water and Lights Account, or Eskom Account or a letter from the Induna. The letter states that your Parent or Guardian is residing on tribal land, and does not pay for water and lights; and A Letter from the Ward Councillor confirming that you are residing at the declared address, and A certified copy of your Parent/Guardian’s ID to confirm the Municipal/Eskom Account Holder. An affidavit has been provided by your parent/guardian if he/she is not the Municipal/Eskom Account Holder, and A certified copy of your Landlord’s ID to confirm the Municipal/Eskom Account Holder. An affidavit has been provided by your Landlord if he/she is not the Municipal/Eskom Account Holder. The affidavit states the rental amount to be charged per month (in both words and figures The Transport Allowance Affidavit Form (AS3.1.12, Revision 00) has been completed by both your Parents/Guardian and Yourself. Indicate, on the affidavit, the transport amount per day, from the place where you are/will be staying whilst studying, to the Campus where you are enrolled. The Confirmation of Student Banking Details Form (AS3.1.40, Revision 00) has been completed: Application to Change Banking Details Your bank account is active (i.e. it has funds). You have supplied the Campus with the details of your own bank account. The Student Application to Change Banking Details Form (AS3.1.43, Revision 00) has been completed: You are required to submit a confirmation of your personal Bank Account details, on the form AS3.1.40, which can be obtained from the Campus. Note: If your personal Bank Account Details have changed, you are required to complete and submit form AS3.1.43 to your Campus. Section A has been completed by yourself. Section B has been completed by the relevant Staff Member at the specific Campus. Section C has been completed by your Bank , after Sections A & B have been completed. Important: This Letter, containing all your personal details, must be submitted to the Staff Member assisting you to complete your Application for Financial Aid. This Letter will be used to verify the information you have submitted on your Application Form, and will be kept on file by the Financial Aid Office. It is compulsory for you to notify the Financial Aid Office and Student Affairs Office, if during the course of an academic period, the contact details for yourself/parents/guardian change.
