Here - Manchester Punk Festival

Welcome to the first Manchester Punk Festival!
We hope that you have an amazing couple of days across our five venues. We have
tried to bring you a wide selection of the bands that are making the UK punk scene,
in all its guises, great at the moment. We could have booked this festival many times
over. Well, there is always next year…
For those of you not aware MPF is brought to you by three Manchester promoters
joining forces. Following their 10th Birthday all-dayer last year TNSrecords sat down
with Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones to start plotting for MPF. This is the
result. Our aim is to bring exciting bands from many different strands of the punk
scene all together for one big party.
Manchester is in our opinion the perfect location for this event. There are many more
Manchester promoters putting on exciting bands who you should also check out.
Please support all the bands playing over the weekend. With 47 acts playing we
hope that you will find something new that blows you away, whilst also getting the
chance to watch the bands you already love. Don’t forget to check out the MPF
bandcamp when you’re home to listen to a track from all the bands playing.
We would like to thank you all for joining us, especially those of you that have
travelled from far and wide, your support is really appreciated.
Manchester Punk Festival is a not-for-profit event entirely run by volunteers. It
couldn’t exist without the help of many people. We couldn’t possibly thank everyone
who has helped here, but you know who you are and we really appreciate all the
work that has gone into this event.

Oxford Road train station.

It is next to Victoria train/tram station.
venue capacities
The venues we are using do have limited
capacity. This should not be an issue at
Sound Control on Saturday, but for the other
gigs it has to be run on a first come, first
served basis. To guarantee entry, please
arrive at your chosen Friday night gig/
aftershow gig as early as possible to avoid
disappointment. We do not recommend
trying to move between the Friday/aftershow
venues as if they are full re-admittance may
not be possible.
