In memory Earl Pitch, Advisory Council Earl Pitch was an ardent supporter of Israel and a dedicated Jewish National Fund volunteer who will be greatly missed. Serving on the JNF Manitoba/Saskatchewan Board since 1985, Earl was highly involved in the annual High Holiday campaigns and Negev Dinner campaigns. He served as President of the Board from 1994-1995, served as National Director of JNF Canada from 1985-1987 and was on the Board of Governors in 1988. Because of his passion and hard work, Israel has a brighter future. He lived a long and fulfilling life, marrying Sylvia Kemel after a seven-year courtship and having three children (Randy, Allen and Howard). He grew up in rural Manitoba helping with his family’s stores before they moved to Winnipeg to open a pant factory. After marriage, Sylvia and Earl moved to Beverly Hills, CA to manage multiple nursing homes before changing professions once again and entering the entertainment business. Family responsibilities pulled the Pitch family back to Winnipeg in 1980, where Earl, a self-proclaimed workaholic, seized further opportunities to be involved in the community and professional world. Earl felt a strong sense of duty towards family and was thankful that he and Sylvia were able to live close to their parents, children and grandchildren in Winnipeg. Earl would like to be remembered as considerate of others, dedicated to family, community and the State of Israel.
