Maple Creek Sports News
Varsity baseball picked up their first victory of
the season on March 6th. Austin Young pitched a
complete game and struck out 9 batters. He went
2-2 at the plate and drove in 2 runs. Brayden
Rodriguez went 2-3, while Nathan Lucas, Tyler and Zachary
McClelland, Brock Obradovich and Max Ligon all had hits as
well. It was a complete team victory and signs
of great things to come. Let’s keep working
hard as we prepare for our next game. Good job
Huskies! The Maple Creek Softball “A” team
had a very good game against the Roadrunners at
Nelson on March 6th. Vanessa Robles pitched a
complete game and had 3 strikeouts. We had a balanced
attack with runs scored by Alex Vaquilar,
Jillian Heuer, Makenzie Humphrey, Vanessa Robles,
and Emily Hoffman scored twice. The boys Volleyball B-Team had a tough match against the Roadrunners losing 2-1. The boys communicated well
and did a great job serving. The player of the
game was Nicholas Sosa. Great job boys!
Cafeteria Balances
The cafeteria has many accounts with
outstanding balances. You may pay
for your outstanding balance or add
money to your child’s account in the
cafeteria before school or log onto
Zangle Parent Connect and pay your balance
online. If your account has a negative balance and
your child is buying hot lunch, they will be provided
with a cheese sandwich and milk, not the regular
menu item. Thank you
.

6th Grade T-Dap Immunizations
(http://www.yourcentralvalley.com/ofWnomination).
Attention Parents of Sixth Graders:
All students entering seventh grade will need to provide verification of a T-dap given after the age of 7 years. We are
trying to have all of our sixth graders complete this requirement by May 15th so they are ready for 7th grade. Reminder
letters were sent home last week with students who have not
fulfilled this requirement. Please contact the Health Office
at 327-7377 if you have any questions about your child’s
status.

Student Placement
Needs Forms Available in the Office
If you have concerns you would like to communicate about your student’s placement for the 15/16 school year, you may complete a
Student Placement Needs Form which is available in the office
starting this week. Although we do not take teacher requests,
we will make every effort to insure an appropriate placement for
every student. Your completed form must be returned by
Wednesday, April 15th.
Save the date!
May 16th is this year’s
Maple Creek Carnival.
We are looking for vendors who would like to
host a booth. If you are a
business owner, hobbyist, or interested parent,
please consider participating in the PTC’s
largest fundraiser of the year. Vendor
application forms can be obtained in the
school office or you can contact
Karen Kuniyoshi at [email protected] or
(559) 577-6984. Go Huskies!
