CLASS XI (SCIENCE)
Visit a hospital/diagnostic centre in your locality and list about the facilities available to diagnose the medical problems
there and do the following…….
(I) Techniques of medical ailments
1.Select any two techniques (e.g. X-Ray,Ultrasound)used for diagnosis of medical ailments.
For each technique…
a) Write the Scientific principle involved
b) Working of the machines
c)Name the diseases/ailments whichcan be detected by using this machine.
d)Inquire about the frequency of using these techniques for the diagnosis of the medical problemconsidered.
e)Collect the data and make a pie chart for the frequency of use of these techniques.
2.List the pros and cons of these techniques.Prepare a placard depicting the health hazards of these two techniques
3.Study Generic and commercially available brands(name, company of medicine in treatment of these diseases and
interpret the result using Venn diagram in terms of Rates and Chemical composition and compare and contrast in any
creative manner.
(II).Name twowell-known personalities diagnosed with the medical problems andgive explanations under these heads.
(a)the techniques used for diagnosis.
(b)treatment and medication used .
(c) their effects on different organs.

Make a project file containing all these information’s and also comparison of the data.
