CLASS-PRE SCHOOL
The sun shines bright and high
That’s what makes us want to fly.
Because summer Holidays are a lot of fun,
There are exciting activities to be done.
So let’s enjoy this vacation with glee,
More fun, more activities that’s our plea.
Dear Parents,
Summer brings with it the ever Smiling sun, Fresh breeze, Blossoming flowers and
HOLIDAYS! It is time when the parents become teachers and friends. Vacations help to
rejuvenate your child and develop an everlasting bond between you and your child by
devoting your precious time towards him/her.
Allow us to facilitate you to help your child explore his / her environment. Make optimum
use of this time to cultivate your child’s interest in co-curricular activities.
As the school closes for the summer break w.e.f May 18, 2015, we have planned some
activities, worksheets and projects for your child to enhance his / her learning skills in a
fun filled way.
To encourage your child’s self esteem and feeling of competence, help your child discover
his / her hidden talents and interests. Keeping the same objective in mind we have divided
the homework into four different categories.
1. The first category includes Skill based Activities which can be helpful for the little
ones in improving their fine motor skills and concentration skills.
2. The second category comprises of Fun-Activities which can be done with your
children at home so that you have the opportunity to spend some quality time with
them which can be informative and interesting at the same time.
3. The third is making interesting project work- Experiential Learning.
4. The last and the most interesting is Logic behind the scene where in kids will
explore and learn through small and handy experiments.
Kindly help and
guide your child in
completing his / HER
work and also
exploring his / HER
creative self.
Submit the given homework in a handmade carry bag with clearly mentioned
name, class and section.
Kindly take the coloured printout of the worksheets. It
would be wonderful if the children themselves decorate the
carrybag while unlocking their creativity.

A huge Amount of success in life comes from learning.
It's good to help kids understand that when they do certain
things habitually, they're reinforcing patterns.

Explore the given link and enjoy filling colours in different fruits.

Bring a coloured print out of your favourite fruit.
MY EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
1. From the given story book introduce the story with pictures to
your child and discuss the things seen in the pictures. Make your
ward learn how to open the book, how to turn the page. Ask your
child to recall some characters and incidents of the story by asking
simple questions related to the story :Who is the main character?
What have you learnt?
Which character you like the most?
What happened in the previous page?
Which incident you like the most?
Help your ward in preparing a Stick puppet of their favorite character
from the story and kids will discuss the story and speak few lines on
character with the help of puppets on 06.07.15.
2.
TIME TO GO TO BED… LET’S RACE
Your little ones love challenges and you can use that to your advantage
at bedtime. Set a timer for 15 minutes as a signal for your child to rush
to the bedroom, change clothes, brush his/her teeth and hop into bed.
Your child wins if the timer has not gone off.(Be careful that child does
not hurt himself or herself during the rush.)
This fun loving activity will be an encouragement for children to learn
how to do their work in a specified time.
3.
SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN (एक कदम
वछता क ओर)
Kiddos will continue to throw stuff on streets, public places. Just like we
live in clean homes and classrooms, cant we extrapolate this thinking to
whole city? After all, it’s ours …..isn’t it?
Encourage your ward to take initiative to make his/her surroundings
clean with the help of peer group. While playing or going out with peer
group following points should be kept in mind: Should not pluck flowers and leaves.
 Should not litter on the ground.
 Should always use dustbin.
Plan a visit to any nearby park or playground with peer group on any
Sunday and make it clean. Click the photograph while doing this activity
and bring the same in a presentable manner.
4. PIGGY BANK MAKING
To make your child understand the importance of money, help him/ her
to create a piggy bank. Tell them to put Rs. 2 or Rs 5 on daily basis.
Donate that amount for Nepal Relief fund at the end of vacations and
get the empty piggy bank to school. We have given two options of piggy
bank, opt your favourite one.
Homemade Frog Bank
In this fun hands-on activity, children make piggy banks.
Cover an old shoe box or cereal box with green construction paper.
Cut a small slit in the front to put your money in. Draw around the slit
to make it part of the frog's mouth. Cut two cups from an egg carton,
paint them green, add googly eyes, and glue them to the box for the
frog's eyes. Finally, use green construction paper to cut front and hind
legs. Attach the hind legs to the sides of the box, and add the front
legs to the front of the box under the mouth.
