Glass is my passion. To me the world of glass is a mystical world, and it is my world. I have always
been creative but the day I first laid hands on glass I knew I had found ‘my’ medium.
My goal is to create glass dining-ware so that people can appreciate its natural beauty. When
you are looking at, holding and using my products I want you to enjoy them, to see the lustre and
gleam of high quality glass, well designed and perfectly fired. The quality of the raw materials I
use gives my products purity and a sexiness that becomes fluid and organic in shape.
These plates are made to be used. Like us, they are strong and durable enough to take a few hard
knocks in life. Working with the rich and dynamic colours and creating the designs is exciting and
inspiring for me. Taking each plate out of the kiln, seeing how the colour flows and intensifies,
how it does its own thing within the realm of my design is so satisfying. I consider myself blessed
to be able to use my creative talents in this way. Please enjoy the beauty of my glass dining-ware.

the glass and the nature of
kiln forming glass
Spectrum Glass has been made for kiln forming, which
is the process of fusing and slumping glass in a kiln at
high temperatures. This contributes the depth and
reflection that makes the glass so appealing. The real
essence of glass is that is a manipulator of light and
prevents the development of bacteria making it the
perfect choice for the food service industry. Due to the
expansion of the glass while it is being fired in the kiln
and the loose powder used to prevent the glass sticking
to the mold, no two plates are identical. Each plate will
vary very slightly giving it its truly unique character.
