GOLF TOURNAMENT
FOR SIOUXLAND FAMILIES SINCE 1921
English Classes for Adults and Preschoolers
Adult English classes teach the real-life skills new refugees
and immigrants need to thrive in Siouxland. Students learn
to fill out job applications, communicate with their children’s
teachers, and meet other life needs. Meanwhile, our preschool program prepares three and four-year olds for kindergarten by teaching them the cognitive, linguistic, social, and
motor skills expected of a new kindergartener.

Camp Imagination
Stops summer learning loss in preschool through middle
school children by providing six weeks of academic instruction with certified teachers. Campers also learn to swim,
take voice and drama lessons, create artistic projects, experiment in basic science activities, and visit local points of
interest—this year including a living history farm, the Sioux
Falls zoo, and the Railroad Museum.
Legal Immigration & Naturalization Services
Mary Treglia is the only nonprofit in a 100-mile radius providing legal immigration and naturalization services to low income refugees and immigrants. Our attorney and accredited
representatives are extensively trained in all areas of familybased immigration, refugee processing, and naturalization.
Citizenship Classes
We not only help candidates apply to become U.S. Citizens,
but also prepare them for the rigorous civics, history, and
English exam that is a required part of the process.
Bilingual Services
We provide translating and interpreting services in Spanish,
Somali, Vietnamese, Oromo, Tigrigna, and other languages
through our network of multilingual staff, volunteers, and
independent contractors. Through this program, we connect
families to resources that increase their financial stability,
physical and mental health, educational opportunities, and
much more.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
Mary Treglia partners with the United Way of Siouxland and
the Center for Siouxland to provide free income tax services
for well over 1,000
low
income
Siouxland
families.

FROM THE COMMUNITY HOUSE TO THE CLUBHOUSE
The Mary J. Treglia Community House has helped thousands of Siouxland immigrants become U.S. Citizens since 1921, including Tom Eliades, former
owner of the legendary MILWAUKEE WIENER HOUSE. In his honor and that of so
many others, we’re serving up their classic hot dogs before you tee off—so
don’t be late!
Siouxlanders also love their LA JUANITA’S, another immigrant-owned business.
You’ll enjoy their award-winning burritos and “fri-HOLE-es” after the tournament—a perfect end to the day.
Proceeds from the event will help us continue preparing our area’s new
refugees and immigrants for Citizenship, and maybe to be your next favorite
lunch spot!
