MASCC/ISOO Study Group Workshop
MASCC 2015 Copenhagen, Denmark Meeting
Title of Workshop: Educational challenges: Strategies to provide excellent cancer
care in underserved population
[3 hours; 30 minutes]
MASCC members are committed to making a difference – for our patients and in defining
better ways to practice supportive care in cancer.
In this spirit of leadership, the Education Study Group invites you to the first MASCC
symposium specifically addressing the needs of medically underserved
populations worldwide -- potentially underserved because of age, disabilities (sensory,
functional, cognitive), gender / sexual orientation, geographic isolation or limitations,
language, literacy, race / ethnicity/ cultural minority status, refugee or immigrant status, or
socioeconomic instability.
Underserved populations, by definition, can fall through the cracks of our best intentions. This
unique symposium promises to be an exciting and informative session – please join us!
