15th Annual Swim Meet at Noosa Aquatic Centre, Girraween Court, Sunshine Beach, on
SATURDAY 16th MAY 2015 @ 8.30am and 10.30am

The meet
This is a long- course event swum in a 50m pool.
Entrants must be members of a Masters club at close of entries, unless entering as a one-off ‘Guest’ competitor.
Competitors may enter a maximum of five (5) individual events – which can include one or two postals selected from
events at 1500m and 800m. Competitors can also enter one or two relay events.
Postal events must be swum in a 50m pool between Wednesday 1st April and Wednesday 29th April 2015.
Entries
Entries close on Wednesday 29th April 2015.
* Please read the Checklist for submitting entries, forms and fees in the MSQ website materials for the Noosa Meet.
* Entries from clubs for Events 1-28 should be made electronically using Team Manager and submitted through the Entry
Manager system on the MSQ members’ forum.
* Entries for the special Event 29 are to be made on The Event #29 Handicap Relay entry form on the MSQ website and
submitted in person by 12noon on the day of the meet. Blank entry forms will also be available at the pool.
* Where necessary, paper entry forms can be downloaded from the MSQ website and can be mailed as below.
* Medical disabilities and record attempts must be clearly marked and/or notified at the time of nomination.

The program
8.30AM: Events 10-14 (the 400m events) begin.
Warm-up: lanes available in 50m pool from 7.30-8.20am, and then lanes available in 25m pool for the rest of the day.
10.30AM: Event 15 begins and the remainder of the program follows as listed.
Fees
Swim only: $20; Post-swim burger+drink: $10; Swim + Meal: $30. Cheques payable to ‘Noosa Masters Swimming Club Inc’

Facilities, prizes and presentations
The club will provide free tea and coffee during the meet. Food and drinks will also be available at the pool café.
Medals, trophies and prizes will be presented after the meet, when the optional meal of burger+drink will be provided.
Medals for 1-3rd in each age group. Other prizes as listed on page 2. Plus a trophy + $100.00 for highest average points
for small clubs (4-9) and large clubs (10+), and the Pat Mooney Trophy for highest aggregate club points score.
By nominating to participate in this meet, all swimmers thereby authorize the Meet Director to take whatever action is deemed
necessary in the event of an emergency and accept responsibility for any and all costs arising from such action. Sanction No. Q9/15

Any four competitors at the Noosa Meet can enter a team on the day.
Paper entry forms available at the pool. Entries close at 12 noon.
Ten teams drawn ‘from a hat’ to contest the event. The team that touches
first wins, provided its nominated time has not been broken by more than
two seconds.
Note: Event 29 will not be scored for club points.
Notes re programme
*The 400m events start at 8.30am
*The other events start at 10.30am.
*There will be a brief lunch break
after Event 20.
*For event 29 - the 4X50m Freestyle
Handicap Relay - ten teams will be
drawn ‘from the hat’ on the day to
contest this one-race final.
Notes re ‘prize’ events
*In Events 16-19, the swimmer
closest to their nominated time wins.
In the case of a tie, the prize will be
shared.
*In Events 21-25, the John Konrads
Trophy encourages an ‘average’
swimmer - the swimmer who swims
equal to, or closest to but slower
than, the time nominated by John
Konrads and published in the
program.
*In Event 20, the Mixed Medley relay
team closest to a National Record
wins the trophy.
Note re billets
Six Noosa members are offering billets
for the Friday and/or Saturday nights.
*Four comprise a double bed with own
bathroom;
*the fifth is a double bed + one single
bedroom to share a bathroom;
*the sixth is two double bedrooms in the
house + two single beds in a caravan, all
to share a bathroom.

First choice may be given to swimmers
living more than 150km by road from
Noosa Aquatic Centre.
