US Open Points Structure

2015 US Open Points Structure The points awarded for each race weekend will be added up and the highest point holder will win the Series. There w ill be N O drop races in this series. Racers are capable of scoring championship points in Qualifying, Heats, and the Final. The points awarded can be found below. Championship points are progressive and will increase approximately 33% each round (see chart below) In case of a tie in the standings after the heats, the qualifying time will be used as a tiebreaker. In case of a tie in the championship standings, a tiebreaker will be utilized as follows: -‐The number of finishes in 1st (only final races). If this number is a tie, we will take the number of 2nd place finishes (only final races). If this number is a tie, we will take the number of 3rd place finishes (only final races) and so on until a winner is recognized.
