Σ-7 Series Tunning-less
Control
Tuning-less control is improved
When the inertia moment ratio is less than 30, tuning-less control can suppress the vibration even if the
load varies.
It is especially effective for trial operation where response is not required.
Σ-7 amplifier provides higher gain of tuning-less control than that of Σ-V.
Settling time is shortened by around 50%!

Vibration Suppressing
Function of Σ-7 Series
Usually, machine vibration gets worse when the axes moves at high acceleration.
Σ-7 servo enhances the vibration suppressing function to help reduce the vibration much
more than the previous products.

Suppresses vibration at high frequencies of over 500Hz
Σ-V: Two filters → Σ-7: Five filters

Anti-resonance function
Suppresses vibration at frequencies from several hundred Hz to 1kHz
Σ-V: Suppression at one frequency → Σ-7: Suppression at two frequencies

Suppressing low frequencies under several tens Hz

In addition, auto-tuning function can automatically adjust the above functions.

Σ-7 Friction Model
Compensation Function
Effective for preventing falling when operation starts and suppressing
vibration of a low-rigidity machine.
•
User can specify the friction coefficient of the mechanism system directly.
•
This function can compensate the coulomb friction, viscosity friction and external force like gravity of a
mechanical system.
•
Unlike the Σ-V’s friction compensation function (called as “disturbance observer”), the new function of
Σ-7 has no correction delay since it compensates the friction of the mechanism system. Hence, it can
be expected to effectively prevent falling at the start of operation and suppress the vibration of a low rigidity machine.

Compensation Function

make decision for shifting peak energy and factory power selection by using the
information.
MP (host device) collects the information of energy consumption
