Space is limited to 25 applicants. A minimum of
$150 is required to register with the Early Bird rate. Full
payment for all registrations is due by May 15, 2015.
Tuition covers all course materials, continental breakfast,
lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, and dinner
Monday and Wednesday evening. Lodging and other
meals are the responsibility of each attendee.

In partnership with Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, the
McCormick Theological Seminary has embarked upon
a new comprehensive training program – the Executive
Certificate in Religious Fundraising. The course will be
held June 1-4, 2015, at McCormick Theological Seminary.
Religious leaders in faith-based organizations and
institutions who wish to learn more about the spirituality
of fundraising and gain a core foundation in fundraising
principles are invited to register.
The purpose of the ECRF is simple – to provide clergy
with expertise in fundraising principles and practices and
to train development personnel who serve faith-based
organizations.
There is no intentional fundraising training program
that focuses exclusively on the needs, challenges and
opportunities of people serving religious congregations.
ECRF offers a balanced exploration of congregational
cultures, generosity and the fundamentals of fundraising.
The ECRF program introduces Presbyterian and other
faith-based fundraisers to additional and advanced
training resources, addressing the continuing education
needs of clergy and other leaders who aspire to make a
difference.
This new opportunity is intended to strengthen pastoral
leadership in resource development. Participants will learn
core fundraising principles and explore the rituals and
practices that foster generosity, with the educational and
theological rigor that addresses the needs of faith leaders.

About the Institute
Course Instructors
As part of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of
Philanthropy, Lake Institute on Faith & Giving is dedicated
to helping people of faith think creatively and reflectively
on the relationship between their religion and their
philanthropy.
DR. WILLIAM ENRIGHT is the founding Karen Lake
Buttrey Director of Lake Institute on Faith & Giving.
He now serves as the Senior Fellow. Dr. Enright
is a former Senior Pastor of Second Presbyterian
Church in Indianapolis. He is a graduate of Wheaton
College, Fuller Theological Seminary, and McCormick
Theological Seminary. He earned a Ph.D. from the
University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and holds two D.D.
(honorary degrees) from Hanover College and Dubuque
Theological Seminary.
For more than 10 years, the Institute has offered a place
where clergy and laity of all faiths can openly discuss issues
of money, faith and giving; donors can discern how their
personal values influence their philanthropic action; and
academicians can study the intersection of faith and giving.
The Institute translates research findings into practical
training for practitioners and parishes.
Our Partnership
The Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising program
is offered in partnership with the McCormick Theological
Seminary. A seminary of the Presbyterian Church (USA),
McCormick prepares graduates for ministries that reach
across the boundaries of culture, class, ethnicity, and
nation to face the needs of both present and emerging
communities of faith. Offering Master’s level and Doctor
of Ministry programs, McCormick is grounded in the
theological thought and church life of the Reformed
tradition that integrates scholarship and ecumism with an
unceasing commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The
program will be led by Dr. William Enright, Dr. David P. King,
Aimée Laramore, and Lisa M. Dagher.
DR. DAVID P. KING is the Karen Lake Buttrey Director of
Lake Institute on Faith & Giving. He also serves as an
Assistant Professor of Philanthropic Studies within the
Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
David earned a B.A. in History from Samford University
and a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity
School. He served two years as a pastoral resident at
Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, TX, through the Lilly
Endowment’s Transition into Ministry program before
returning to complete a Ph.D. in Religion from Emory
University in 2012.
AIMÉE LARAMORE, MBA is Associate Director of Lake
Institute on Faith & Giving. She brings over 15 years
of executive nonprofit leadership to Lake Institute. She
has served nonprofit and religious entities throughout
the Midwest specializing in the health, human services
and community development fields. Ms. Laramore
has spent her career dedicated to systemic change for
organizational capacity building and is passionate about
fundraising as ministry.
LISA M. DAGHER, CFRE, CFRM serves as the Vice
President of Seminary Relations and Development
at McCormick Theological Seminary, overseeing
major, annual, planned and institutional giving,
communications and alumni/ae relations. Lisa has
eleven years of professional fundraising experience
in the areas of stewardship, creating and maintaining
endowments, and organizational leadership.
