Dear McHenry County Community Member,
The McHenry County Fair Association is actively seeking members of our community willing to help
support the events, activities and infrastructure at the McHenry County Fairgrounds. This year’s fair is
August 5th thru August 9th with the theme of “Homemade, Home grown”. We are very excited to offer
some new events and welcome back events and people that help to keep the McHenry County Fair
one of the last truly agriculture partner fairs in this area.
We have been working hard to bring awareness to all that we have to offer at the fairgrounds during
fair and throughout the year. We are proud of the educational component that we have at our events.
We feel like it is important to continue to support the agricultural part of McHenry County and help us
hang on to our “field to table” roots. Looking forward with an eye to the future we will continue to offer
family events that are relevant today.
In keeping with the traditions of past fairs and looking to the exciting opportunities for future fairs, we
are asking for your support to continue to provide fun, family events that help to make our
communities stronger.
Please look over the enclosed sponsorship possibilities. There are many ways to get involved and
support the McHenry County Fair Association and thus the McHenry County Fair. Your monetary
support is greatly appreciated. There are other ways to get involved with volunteering opportunities
or becoming a McHenry County Fair Association member. Members of the Association help guide
the future of the fairgrounds based on the wants and needs of the McHenry County community.

• Fair Book Advertisement
o Place your business ad in our fair book that is displayed and viewed online and will be in print
this year as well. We have over 3,000 people who view the fair book and enter into over 6,000
different categories in our Open and Junior Open shows.

Trophy and Plaque Sponsor
o Each Open and Junior Open department has at least one award that is given. This is only
possible due to our sponsors. The name of the sponsor is placed on each trophy and plaque
that they sponsor so everyone knows who made their award possible. Please call the office for
a list of awards available to sponsor.

Golf Cart (there are a total of 13 sponsorships available)
o Golf Carts are used for various things around the fairgrounds during the very busy week of the
fair. By sponsoring this you will receive 2 signs with your logo and information on them. They
can either both be hung on the golf cart, or one will be hung on the golf cart and the other
placed by the entrance where the shuttles have their drop off and pick up service.

T-Shirts (there are a total of 2 sponsorships available)
o Have your logo placed on our souvenir T-Shirt for the 2015 fair. Each sleeve will have a logo
giving us room for 2 sponsors for this great opportunity.

Sponsor an Event or Activity
o During the week of the fair we strive to bring in some family fun activities and entertainment
for our community to enjoy. Choose one of them from this year’s list of events to sponsor. You
can share the sponsorship with other businesses or contribute the full amount to be the only
sponsor of that event. Have a sign with your logo and business information posted by the
event’s location and that event will list you as a sponsor during the opening and closing of their
act or activity.
