RE: Request for Donation to Maryland COPS
Dear Supporter,
On Saturday, April 11th, 2015, the Maryland Concerns of Police Survivors will host our 2nd
Annual Michael S. Nickerson Memorial Sporting Clay Classic. Officer Nickerson was one of the
more than 300 police officers who have been killed in the line of duty in Maryland. Michael’s
love for the sporting clays is the driving force behind this worthwhile event. The event will be
held on Maryland’s Eastern Shore at Delmarva Sporting Clays & Shooting Range in Mardela
Springs, Md.
COPS provides resources to assist the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line
of duty. These resources include training, psychological counseling, scholarships, and support to
the family of the fallen law enforcement officer. COPS is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization in
Maryland. We respectfully ask for your donation to support our cause.
We are asking for your donation as a corporate or individual sponsor. T-shirt sponsors
will have their name listed on the back of our 2015 souvenir shirt. Station sponsors will have
their name posted on a sign at each station on the day of the event. Corporate sponsorships
include complimentary registration for four shooters, naming on the souvenir t-shirt, and a
sponsor sign at the event. Donations including products or services will be used for door prizes
and silent auction.
We appreciate you and your business for helping us sponsor this event. We will do all
we can to publicize your business and generosity during our media outreach and to all those who
attend and participate in this event. Thank you for your participation.
For more information, please contact our President, Sue Nickerson, at (410) 708 1334 or
me at (410) 310-8641. You can also email [email protected] .
Most Sincerely,
Jeannie Mastronardi
Vice President
