Do you want input on how to write an Impact and Abstract section that sells your project idea to evaluators? Perhaps you are a Horizon 2020 Advisor wanting to develop your skills even further? The Research Support Office invites AU staff members to attend three different Horizon 2020 events instructed by the inspiring Dr. Seán McCarthy, who has been involved in all aspects of European Research since 1980; as a researcher, research manager, research group leader and company director. Please register before 28 May 2015 Course: How to Write a Competitive Proposal for Horizon 2020 The aim of this course is to train researchers, research managers and research support services in writing professional and competitive proposals for the Horizon 2020. The course addresses common problems and pitfalls of proposal writing and describes the general success criteria for proposals. The course also provides tips on how to collect information and avoid duplication in proposal writing, and offers advice on selecting strategic partners. Read more about the course here. Please register here Course: How to write the Impact and Abstract of a Horizon 2020 proposal The aim of this course is to train researchers to clearly convey their project idea in the Abstract and Impact sections. The Abstract and Impact sections are both very important components of a competitive project proposal; the abstract introduces the project concept to the evaluator and is often crucial when successful projects are selected. Likewise, the project´s Impact has become a key evaluation criterion when selecting successful Horizon 2020 proposals.
