TAG CHECKERS
The Medford Lakes Colony will again be hiring Tag Checkers this summer. Employees
must be over 18 by Memorial Day to apply. Employees will be responsible for ensuring
that only colonists in good standing are using colony beaches and other colony property.
Flexible hours are available. Seasonal position runs from Memorial Day weekend to
Labor Day. Please send a brief letter of interest to the Colony Office by May 15.
Spring has sprung and it's time for the Cub Scout annual flower sale! Orders will be
taken beginning March 22th and end on April 26th. Orders will be delivered to your
home on Saturday, May 9th. We are selling flats, herbs, tomato plants, and hanging

Save the date - the MLWC will be hosting its first Babysitters Fair on Sunday, April 19
from 2-4 pm at Vaughan Hall. Local babysitters, nannies and mother's helpers will be
able to set up space at a table at Vaughan Hall to meet and share their contact info with
Medford Lakes families. If you are a babysitter/nanny/mother's helper and would like to
register for this event, please email [email protected]. The MLWC is asking
that all people attending the event bring a donation for the Lion's Club Food Bank.
BEACH TAGS ARE READY
2015 Beach Tags, Membership Cards and Boat Tags are ready for you to pick up in the
Colony office. Office hours are Monday- Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. except for noon
– 1 p.m. for a lunch break. The Beach Tags have pins making them an item the Post
Office does not want mailed. If you have trouble visiting the Colony Office during
regular hours please call 609-654-7747 or send an email to
[email protected] so we can work out an arrangement.
When you stop in for your Beach Tags you can purchase Guest Tags. The price of
Seasonal Guest Tags is $10/each; a daily guest tag is $2/person.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD 2015
Medford Lakes Garden Club invites qualified students graduating from High School and
entering any of the following fields of study in college:
Horticulture, Floriculture, Botany, Plant Pathology, Landscape Design, Forestry,
Environmental Science, Horticulture Therapy, Agriculture and/or allied subjects to apply
for the $1000.00 scholarship to be awarded in June 2015.

PRESCHOOL CAMP
The Medford Lakes Colony will host a Preschool Camp for children and grandchildren
of Colonists who are age 3, 4, or 5 this summer. The groups are divided by age. Campers
must be potty trained. Preschool Camp begins on Monday, July 6 and ends on Friday,
July 17.
Camp hours: 9-11 am
Location: Neeta School

The Medford Lakes Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m. at
Vaughan Community House with a luncheon and meeting. The planned speaker is Gloria
Stevens, Springfield Orchard and Herbary, "Why Grow Herbs". All new members are
welcome.
Camp will be hiring an RN this summer to attend to all campers health needs in both
Upper and Lower Camp. Candidates should be experienced in working with school
age children and MUST be available to work all days of camp (June 29-July 24)

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM AT ML SCHOOLS
Medford Lakes Schools has openings for the 2015-2016 inclusive preschool. The
program is half day, 5 days per week and follows the Curiosity Corner curriculum.
The current tuition is $2,000, subject to change. Students will be selected on a
lottery basis. We are looking for typically-developing students who turn 4 by
October 1, 2015, who are toilet trained. Applications are due by April 24th
Camp fees must be paid by check or money order made to “Medford Lakes Colony”
A deposit of $100/camper will be accepted if you need to make payments on camp fees,
but late charges may be added

summer, verification can be made at the Colony office by email
