Dr. Armstrong obtained her M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her internal medicine internship at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital and her residency at the Harvard Dermatology Residency Program. Dr. Armstrong also obtained a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Armstrong is Vice Chair of Clinical Research, Director of Psoriasis Program, and Director of Clinical Trials and Outcomes Research at University of Colorado. She cares for moderate‐to‐ severe psoriasis patients with complex medical comorbidities. Dr. Armstrong's research focus lies in health outcomes, epidemiology of psoriasis and associated comorbidities, and technology‐enabled models of healthcare delivery. Dr. Armstrong has conducted studies examining how novel healthcare delivery models impact patients' access to medical care and how new therapies impact patients' disease states and quality of life. Dr. Armstrong was awarded research funding from multiple federal agencies and foundations, including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, NIH, PCORI, Dermatology Foundation, and the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Armstrong is active at a national and international level for psoriasis research and advocacy. She serves as on the medical board of the National Psoriasis Foundation and on the steering committee for the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA). She also serves on the editorial boards of JAMA Dermatology and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
