WEEKLY THEMES
Week 1 June 8 - 12
IGNITE YOUR SUMMER
Grab your sunglasses and water
bottle and get ready for a fun week
of crafts, science, summer games
and an outdoor field trip.
Week 2 June 15 - 19
PAY IT FORWARD
Learn how to give back. Campers
will get to know their community as
they work on a community/YMCA
service project this week.
Week 3 June 22 - 26
ARTFUL ANTICS
This week is all about focusing on
your creative side. Your child will be
able to break out and show off their
artful side by creating projects or
showing off their acting talents.
Y Day Camp will be
held at Mt Iron-Buhl
High School in Mt Iron
Week 4 June 29 - July 1

SPLISH SPLASH
Beat the heat! Come cool off with
water games, water balloons,
sprinklers, and slides.
Week 5 July 6 - 10
Y GAMES
Touchdown, goal, strike! Learn a
variety of sports and different skills.
Use your athletic abilities.
Week 6 13 - 17
HOLIDAY FEVER
Celebrate holidays from the year.
Experience various cultural holidays
and new holiday traditions campers
create. We will celebrate a different
holiday each day.
Week 7 July 20 - 24
OOEY, GOOEY, STICKY
Break the rules of staying “clean”
and explore the world of getting
dirty! Enjoy fun outdoor games, and
bring an extra change of clothes.

Sunscreen, bug repellant, rain jacket
Week 8 July 27 - 31
SUPERHEROES
Come as your favorite superhero or
create your own and be ready to
save the world. We will conquer
obstacles and learn how to be proud
of your own superhero bodies.
Week 9 August 3 - 7
FUTURISTIC FUN
This week campers will “travel” in to
the future in their very own time
machines. Groups of campers will be
making a time machine and other
inventions.
Week 10 August 10 - 14
TREASURE HUNTERS
Start your engines; let’s get ready
to race to the treasure. This week is
all about bringing out your detective
side and ciphering clues to find
treasure.
Week 11 August 17 - 21
ALOHA TO SUMMER
Let’s say goodbye to summer by
having a party!
The YMCA’s summer day camp provides kids in grades K - 6 a
fun, safe summer with exciting and educational themes to
explore! Field trips, crafts, games, and swimming will keep
your child actively learning the whole summer!

Weekly pre-registration and payment is due by Wednesday
prior to each week.
As a non-profit organization, the Y never turns
away anyone who needs us. Financial assistance is
available through the YMCA’s Open Doors program. Visit the Y

is also accepted.
