Messingham Show Committee reserves the right to vary the order and
composition of this Schedule, and to decline any entry without being
required to give reasons.

In the event of there being insufficient starters lower prizes may be witheld
in accordance with Rule 76.6
Any objection must be made (to the secretary) within 30 minutes of
completion of the class, in writing and accompanied by a deposit of
£30.00. This deposit may be forfeited if the objection is overruled.

All persons participating in the Show in any way do so at their own risk.
The Committee will not accept any legal liability whatsoever for any
loss or damage to property, including the transmission of any infectious
disease to any animal. The Committee will not accept legal liability for
injuries to any person, except for death or personal injury arising from
the negligence of the Committee, its servants or agents.

in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions
to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk of injury.

The showground is designed so that competitors and members of the
public are kept apart. All persons attending the show are asked to keep
within these designated areas.

Ring
The onus is on every rider who suffers a fall, or anyone who suffers an
injury whilst on the showground, to report the fall/injury to the show
secretary.
The Show Committee have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the
health and safety of all participants. All persons on the showground are
expected to do the same, and to comply with all instructions of Organisers,
Officials and Stewards.

Open to pairs, tandems and single turnouts driven to a suitable
vehicle (show wagons and commercial vehicles are barred). All
Horses and Ponies must be 4 years old or over.

Exhibitors should ensure they are adequately covered by third party
insurance. Please give details of the horse and vehicle on the Entry
Form.
The Champion turnout of Classes A15 and A16 will receive the
ENGLAND CUP, to be held for one year.
This is a Victoria Food Company Open Private Driving Qualifier, the champion to qualify for the grand final, to
be held on 11th - 14th September 2015, venue to be announced. In the event that the champion has already
qualified, then the reserve champion to qualify, if the reserve has also qualified, the rosette to be awarded to
the champion. Once qualified, the horse, whip & vehicle may not be changed.
£10 prize and a Rosette for best Junior Whip within Classes A15 & A16. This award will be judged on the ability
of the driver not the turnout. The driver must be aged 10 years or over on the first day of the show at which
they are to compete. A driver under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the vehicle by a competent and
responsible person aged 18 years or over, a “responsible adult”. Proof of age will be required if necessary. It
is the responsibility of the owner/driver (if over 18) or (if the owner/driver is under 18) the responsible adult to
ensure that his/her groom/s is/are competent for the purpose of attending to the turnout and aged 10 or over
on the day of the show. When in the vehicle grooms, passenger/s and driver must have their feet firmly on the
floor of the vehicle or use a suitable fixed footrest. This regulation applies at all times and in all areas on the
showground.
All drivers/grooms/passengers under the age of 14 years must wear a correctly fitted hard hat when in a
carriage or in attendance to a turnout.
These classes are qualifiers for the 2015 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships at Driving
Addington. The highest placed turnout owned and driven by a member of the British Driving Society and
eligible for the following Type-Section/s disregarding those already qualified down to 6th place (10th place for
type sections (n)-(q)) in the class will qualify for the 2015 Semi-Finals at Driving Addington. The Championship
will immediately follow the Semi-Finals.

Open to horses, ponies. A single, pair or tandem driven to a carriage of
non-traditional type design and includes those with pneumatic tyres specifically designed for carriages (i.e. not car tyres). Lamps need not be carried. Judging will include general cleanliness, safety of turnout, correct fitting of harness
and vehicle suitability.

All Ponies in the Mountain and Moorland Section must be pure bred and all must be registered with their
respective Societies. Brood Mares must be 4 years old and over; Foals to be 3 weeks old and over on the day
of the show. Stallions and Colts 2 years old and over to have Ministry of Agriculture, National Pony Society or
Breed Society Stallion Licence. For Dartmoor, Welsh, Highland, Dales and Exmoor ponies this rule is extended
to three years old or over. For Shetland this rule is four years old or over. No spurs to be worn in ridden
classes.

NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championship Conditions. To be judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver
Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the Owner of the champion pony is a Member of the NPS. If the Owner of
the Champion pony is not a Member, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion. If the Champion pony
has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the Qualification Card goes to the Reserve
Champion pony, provided the Owner of that pony is a Member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the
Qualification can be awarded no lower than first reserve. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver
Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 4th - 6th August 2015.
NPS Mountain & Moorland In-Hand Kilmannan Stud Silver Medal Rosette Championship A Silver Medal
Rossette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the Mountain & Moorland In Hand
section. The Sponsor's Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the Qualification Card. (See NPS Silver Medal

NPS Mountain & Moorland Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship A Silver Medal Rossette is offered by
the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS member in the Mountain & Moorland

SKEWBALD & PIEBALD HORSES IN HAND, piebald & skewbald only,
any age or height. The class will be split at the judges discretion if there are
sufficient entries forward. Horses may be shown plaited & trimmed or in a
natural state. BSPA Qualifier H5 - Best Skewbald and Piebald. Open - any
age, height, sex or type. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place qualify - also h/p traditional
or native type pony, cob or vanner if not already placed.
RIDDEN PIEBALD & SKEWBALD, any type height sex or colour, open
to members and non members. Three highest placed BSPA members will
qualify for the National Championship Show. No Spurs to be worn. Judge will
not ride, display required.
SKEWBALD / PIEBALD TRADITIONAL / NATIVE / COB TYPES.
Horse & ponies any height. Judge will not ride, display required. No Spurs
may be worn in this class.
Any Stallion must be Graded with BSPA and have their RED Stallion ID card
available for inspection.
Classes B7 - B9 are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the World
Championships of Colour National Championship show to be held at the College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe,
Bedfordshire on 23rd August 2015. All classes will be judged within the rules and criteria of the BSPA. Copies
of the rule book and membership / horse registration / over stamping forms can be obtained from the Show
Office – 01354 638226 or downloaded from www.bspaonline.com. All stallions 4 years old and over must
be graded, licensed and registered with the BSPA in order to compete and must carry into the ring their red
BSPA showing ID Card and BSPA bridle discs must be worn. In order to qualify all owners / handlers / riders
must be members of the BSPA and all horses / ponies registered with the BSPA prior to the show. BSPA
qualification cards must be produced in the ring and be signed by the Judge, otherwise qualification is invalid.
The highest placed amateur and highest placed junior in each class (must be members of BSPA) will qualify for
the Amateur and Junior Supreme Championship Finals to be held at the BSPA World of Colour Championship
Show at the College E.C. Amateur / Junior cards to be shown and qualification card signed. All shows held
after 1st August 2015 are qualifiers for WCC 2015.
