newsletter EDITION 1 Spring 2015 Joint developers: Computer generated image of Mettle&Poise Joint selling agents: latest UPDATE FROM METTLE&POISE Welcome to the first edition of the Mettle&Poise newsletter. This quarterly publication will keep you up to date on progress at Mettle&Poise, where the historic Queen Elizabeth Hospital site is being regenerated to provide a collection of carefully crafted suites and one, two and three bedroom apartments, and penthouses in this special location. In these regular updates we will be aiming to provide a mix of construction and sales updates along with selected news items. sales UPDATE construction UPDATE road & BLOCK NAMES With the demolition phase complete and sheet piling to Goldsmith’s Row recently completed, work is now starting on the foundations, drainage and roads. This will be followed in April by the construction of a permanent steel frame for the Hackney Road façade, to replace the temporary framework currently in place. The frame will be constructed with great care to ensure that the original structure remains intact. The first ground floor slabs will be laid in May, starting with the GA building at the south end of Goldsmith’s Row. Applications have been made to Tower Hamlets for the block and road names; these are based on the names of the Quaker sisters Mary and Elizabeth Phillips who founded the hospital, and on the many women doctors and nurses who worked there. We will be publishing these names, once approved, on the Mettle&Poise website and in the newsletter. The build is progressing according to schedule, with anticipated completions starting in Winter 2016 in block HA, and continuing through GA, GB and GC to Summer 2017. penthouses & DUPLEXES If you are interested in purchasing one of the last few penthouses and duplexes remaining at Mettle&Poise, ranging in price from £699,950 to £999,950, please contact us: Following the successful initial launch at the Town Hall Hotel last year, the final tranche of apartments was launched at the 100 Room on the 7th floor of the Ace Hotel, Shoreditch a couple of weeks ago. Demand once again was strong, and over 95% of the apartments are now sold. 020 3376 7775 [email protected] Telephone Email The model of the site is now available to view by appointment at the Currell offices in Islington. murals Rydon have collaborated with the Hackney City Farm and two local schools to produce a series of murals on the Goldsmith’s Row hoarding.
