In Denmark from 24.-28. August 2015
“Building a Castle – preparing for War or keeping the Peace”
We have the pleasure of inviting you to the 13. Castella congress, which will take place in the
eastern part of Denmark. It is organised as a travelling Congress starting at Vordingborg Castle in
the southern part of Denmark and moving on to Nyborg Castle on the east coast of Funen. We will
end up in Helsingør/Elsinore at “Hamlets” castle Kronborg in northern Zealand. During our
excursions we will visit various castles, fortified manor houses and moated sites.

Breakfast and departure
There are excellent train connections between Copenhagen, Vordingborg and Elsinore. Trains
from Elsinore go directly to Copenhagen Airport.
Congress price will be 380 Euro for accommodation in double rooms. The possibility of single
rooms is limited but possible. The price for single rooms 3 of the 4 nights (that is what is possible)
is 562 Euro. Beside the accommodation are included all meals with some wine or beer, coffee and
so on during the conference.
We kindly ask you to sign up for the conference before 1. April 2015. When you sign up please
also give us notice if you want to present a paper or poster, and also a preliminary title of paper
and poster.

After 1. April we will set up a full program and send out the 2. announcement. Her you will have all
the information regarding payment, the address in Vordingborg, where the conference will begin,
whom to contact etc.
