YMCA Camp Ingersoll Outdoor Center Rules and Regulations • • • • • • • • • • • The YMCA Camp Ingersoll Outdoor Center is an alcohol, drug and smoke-free facility. All memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please carry your membership card with you at all times, staff will be checking memberships periodically throughout the year. Please be caring and respectful to all other members. Discard all trash in proper containers. Please keep off of waterfronts when lifeguards are not on duty. Motorized vehicles are prohibited (ATV’s, snowmobiles and dirt bikes). Please park vehicles in the lots only; keep all vehicles off the grass and access roads at all times. The Ingersoll Fishing Season runs in conjunction with the state-wide timelines. Fishing is a catch & release program and is prohibited from boats, canoes, waterfronts, docks and/or on the ice. Members can only be on the water when the waterfront is open and certified YMCA lifeguards are on duty: Weekends from May 30th-August 30th from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Rules & Regulations for Dog Owners The rules stated for dog owners will be strictly enforced. Dog owners must follow all rules stated above as well as the following: • Dogs MUST be kept on a leash and under control at all times. • Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. The YMCA offers financial assistance to qualifying individuals and families. Frequently Asked Questions What is the cost of an Outdoor Center Membership? For current members of the Middlesex YMCA, an Outdoor Center membership is $100 per year. For non-members, the cost is $200 per year. Who can use the YMCA Camp Ingersoll Outdoor Center? • • • Members of the Middlesex YMCA who have purchased an Outdoor Center Membership. Non-Members of the Middlesex YMCA who have purchased an Outdoor Center Membership membership exclusively for the membership privileges at the YMCA Camp Ingersoll Outdoor Center. Guests of Outdoor Center Members who pay the guest fee. When is the YMCA Camp Ingersoll Outdoor Center open for use? YMCA Camp Ingersoll is open for members to use *12 months a year from sunrise to sunset; **with the exception of the day camp season. * While available for your use year-round, we are unable to provide staff in the winter and there is no indoor space to use at this time. **In order to provide a safe and secure setting for our day camp program, we ask our members to stay off the property Monday-Friday during the day camp season; defined as June 22nd – August 21st from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. What can members do at the YMCA Camp Ingersoll Outdoor Center? Here is a list of the recreational opportunities available by season: • • Spring and Fall activities include: Basketball, Fishing, Frisbee Golf, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Picnicking, Superslide, Soccer, Volleyball, and Wiffle Ball. Summer activities include: Basketball, Fishing, Frisbee Golf, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Picnicking, Superslide, Soccer, Volleyball, Wiffle Ball, and Swimming & Boating (on the weekends from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM from May 30th-August 30th.) The fee includes use of the pavilions, bathrooms, grills, Long House, swimming at the waterfront, and garbage removal for the entire scheduled day. $250 for YMCA Camp Ingersoll Staff Led Party ($125 for Outdoor Center Members) Parties may be booked any time after 8 am and must depart by 8 pm or sunset, whichever comes first. The fee includes use of the pavilions, bathrooms, grills, Long House, and swimming at the waterfront. If there is more than one party scheduled at the same time, the large pavilion may not be available. It also includes a YMCA Camp Ingersoll staff for 2.5 hours to lead groups through any one of the following activities for up to 20 participants: Watercraft An hour period where groups will have use of YMCA Camp Ingersoll’s fleet of canoes and paddle boats. Climbing Tower An hour period a certified ropes course staff will set-up and belay the 30 foot climbing tower. No prior experience is needed to enjoy this popular activity! Archery An hour period staff will teach basic skills and proper safety procedures. Arts & Crafts We will open up our Art Lodge and have a staff member facilitate various arts & crafts projects with your group for one hour. Sports An hour of staff led sports and games such as T-ball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, Frisbee, and Gaga ball. There is a $50 per hour fee if you would like to run more than one of the activities listed above during your party. Ropes Course – Additional Fees May Apply Led by trained instructors, campers learn trust and relationship building through a progressive series of ground initiatives, low ropes activities and high ropes course. Course is inspected annually. Fees depend upon group size, age, goals, and program length.
