PREPARATION FOR DIPLOMA IN ESTATE AGENCY How to become a Registered Real Estate Agent? Registered Real Estate Agent TEST OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCY (TPC) Attend Interview with Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents (BOVAEA) The Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA), as part of their continuing efforts to upgrade the professional standards of Real Estate Negotiators/Practitioners in Malaysia, is now bringing in for the first time the prestigious Real Estate qualification and designation. This is a preparatory course which will provide much assisted learning to participants. The course enables participants to attend lectures for all the modules set by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia (BOVAEA). In order to further prepare participants in taking the Estate Agents Examination conducted by BOVAEA, participants are required to complete assignments and take a written examination (following BOVAEA's examination format) for each module completed. The main objective of this course is to enable participants to gain knowledge in the various modules taught by professionals and practitioners from the real estate industry and to provide participants with practice in answering questions through assignments and examinations given for each module. Probationary Estate Agent (PEA) ! Work full-time with a Registered Real Estate Agency for 2 years submitting work diaries. ! Upon completion, submit two Task Papers to BOVAEA and pass an interview with BOVAEA Take Part 2 of Estate Agents Examination The Professional Diploma in Estate Agency covers the following modules*: Part 1 1. Participants who have completed one or more modules in the Professional Diploma in Estate Agency can attempt to take the Estate Agents Examination conducted by BOVAEA. Minimum age of 17 years old to sit for the Estate Agents Examination conducted by the BOVAEA Diploma in Estate Agency Assessment Students will be assessed through assignments and a final examination for each module.
