DIVERSITY POLICY
This policy has its origins in the Guardsmark Equal Opportunity Policy established in 1965, the
Code of Ethics initially adopted in 1980, the Sexual Harassment Policy established in 1982 and the
No-Slur Policy established in 1988, all of which have been revised from time to time thereafter.
This policy was first compiled in this form in 1997.
This policy is written for and applies to all employees of Guardsmark without exception.
As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Guardsmark, LLC, does not discriminate on the basis of
race, color, creed, religion, religious belief, gender, pregnancy, national origin, citizenship,
age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, sexual preference or genetic
information. In furtherance thereof, Guardsmark adopts the following:

Any Guardsmark employee who witnesses, experiences, or knows of any discrimination or
harassment prohibited by this Policy, or is being pressured to engage in such conduct by
another Guardsmark employee, a client employee, client or other sources outside Guardsmark,
must call within two business days after the alleged act occurs or the individual has knowledge
of it, and report to his or her Manager in Charge and/or the Corporation’s Chief Diversity
Officer, Stephen I. Kasloff, or Donna D. Smith or Doris J. Whitson at 1-800-238-5878, a
toll-free number available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Monday through

individuals listed above. An investigation of each such report will be undertaken immediately and
the employee making the report will receive a response. Any employee having questions about
this Policy should call the toll-free number or write to any committee member at Guardsmark,
LLC, P.O. Box 45, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-0045, or E-mail to [email protected].
Guardsmark deplores and prohibits any actions that may promote hate, encourage
violence or engender prejudice.
We recognize that false accusations can have serious effects on innocent people, and we
urge all employees to be mindful of these adverse consequences and to refrain from
making irresponsible, groundless charges.
Guardsmark will not tolerate discrimination or unjustified disparate treatment in
violation of this Policy in any form from any source, whether active or passive.
Retaliation against anyone making a complaint is prohibited.
