Join Us for the Ministers Council Retreat
June 29 – July 1, 2015
Registration is now open for the Ministers Council “Let Go,
Behold, Sing” retreat to be held immediately following the Mission
Summit on June 29 – July 1.
The theme of the retreat is Sabbath-keeping ministry: being,
having and doing enough; being filled with light to the point of singing;
and going deep rather than wide. The retreat creates the wonderful
opening to realize that when the noise stops, God begins.
What can you expect? Expect a time of refreshment and renewal. Featuring a gracious spaciousness
in time, the retreat offers an opportunity to care for self and others, rest, and play, all while enjoying good
food and fellowship. And as we attend to Sabbath-keeping, the retreat provides seeds to nourish, deepen, and
realize restoration for ministry.
Our retreat will be led by Rev. Dr. Heather Entrekin, Des Peres Associate Professor of
Congregational Health at Central Baptist Theological Seminary. The retreat will be held at the beautiful
Unity Village Conference and Retreat Center. During the retreat you will engage with ministerial leaders to
discuss our ministry challenges and how we might “Let Go” and “Behold” the wonder of God in the midst of
those challenges in ways that enable us to “Sing” with a sense of renewal. Our schedule is as follows:
June 29th
 Morning shuttle will depart from Overland Park to Unity Village.
 Sabbath day experience taking advantage of Unity Village amenities or enjoy a trip nearby shopping
and restaurant destinations.
 6:00 PM – Dinner at Unity Village
 7:00 PM – Ice Breaker activities; Overview of Ministry Challenges.
 8:30 PM - Compline Service followed by fellowship of Song and Silence.
