2015 Miss Asian American Colorado
Leadership Program Application
APPLICATION DUE DATE: Saturday July 4, 2015
OUR MISSION
The Miss Asian American Colorado Leadership Program aims to:
● Showcase the leadership, service, and individuality of Asian American women
● Build a network of friendships and mentorships between Asian American women
● Provide scholarships to talented Asian American women
● Increase community awareness of the diversity and strengths in the Asian American population
● Encourage unity and understanding among Asian Americans in Colorado
All Asian American women should be empowered with a sense of purpose to contribute to the growing community. Miss Asian American Colorado (Miss AACO)
challenges young women to redefine notions of beauty, intelligence, and culture by emphasizing not merely physical appearance, but also their beauty that radiates
from within. With this passion, these women are given the opportunity to become the future leaders of Colorado’s Asian American community.
This one-year experience develops leadership, service, and individuality through group activities including community engagement, public speaking, and
philanthropic events. Most importantly, candidates develop self-confidence where they can challenge themselves to achieve their goals with diligence, grace, and
intellect. The Miss AACO program encourages young aspiring Asian American women of Colorado to believe in themselves and reach new heights.
