Reading

This week we will work identifying and
using text features to help us in
understanding informational texts. We are
also working on short STAAR practice
tests during the next two weeks.
Homework: reading log due on Friday
Prompt: Pretend you are the author of the
book you are reading. Tell about a
different setting you could have put the
story. What would have changed and what
would have stayed the same?

This week we will complete our Unit on Force
and Motion. Our test will be Friday, April 10.

Writing:
This week, the students will explore
writing in the persuasive genre! They will
use their opinion to drive the story,
target a specific audience, and give many
reasons to the reader for believability!
