What is included in a Mixson Bath & Racquet Club membership?
Members of MB&RC have year-round access to the Club, private Club room and private dining room.
This includes access to the Wellness Center during specified hours and full use of the bocce and badminton
courts. MB&RC also hosts monthly Members-only events. For an additional fee, Members can take yoga
classes, group circuit fitness classes, one-on-one fitness classes, group or private swim lessons, or join a
sports league. Cabanas are available for rent on a daily or weekly basis for their private use at an additional
fee. Members also receive priority and discounted rates for hosting events at the MB&RC. For a full list of

How big is the pool?
The 3,200 square foot saltwater pool is available for general water recreation. Lap swimming in 25 meter
lanes will be offered at designated times. There is no diving board.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool will be heated for seasonal swimming.
Are families welcome at MB&RC?
Absolutely. The pool and changing facilities are family friendly. In fact, there is a special changing room just
for families. There is also a splash area adjacent to the pool for children and adults alike to cool off in, with
family cabanas nearby to get out of the sun.
Is there food and beverage service at the pool?
Yes, there is a full restaurant at the pool and servers can bring food and drink to Members at their lounge
chairs or rented cabanas. There is also the option to eat at a table, indoors or out. No outside food or drink,
please!
Is there a dress code?
Members are required to wear shirts and shoes when eating at the indoor restaurant and using the Club
facility.
Can I use my iPhone, iPad or laptop at MB&RC?
The MB&RC provides wireless access. Electronic devices are discouraged in the private dining room and in
the Club room. This policy applies to guests of Members as well.
What is the application process?
Just fill out the application process online or print and mail it to us along with a $50 non-refundable
Membership processing fee and name of a current Member who will serve as your sponsor. Memberships will
be reviewed on a monthly basis by our Advisory Committee who will make official offers of Membership.
How many memberships are being offered at the MB&RC?
Membership at MB&RC is limited. At the current time we estimate that we will cap Memberships at 500
Members. We will monitor the use of the pool, dining room and Club room and may re-adjust the total
number of Memberships based on usage patterns.
Do I have to live at Mixson to join Mixson Bath & Racquet Club?
Residents of Mixson and non-residents alike are invited to become Members of Mixson Bath & Racquet
Club.
What is the annual membership fee?
There are two main classes of Membership: Mixson Resident and Charleston Resident. For Mixson
Residents, Family Membership is $600 per year, Dual is $480 and Individual is $360 per year. For
Charleston Residents, Family Membership is $720 per year, Dual is $600 and Individual is $480 per year.
Annual Membership fees can be paid in full for a 5% discount or in monthly installments. The Membership
Director can provide additional information about seasonal Memberships for those who are part-time
Charleston residents.
Is there an initiation fee?
Yes, there is a one-time lifetime initiation fee to join Mixson Bath & Racquet Club. Initiation fees are $1,000
for Family Memberships, $750 for Dual and $500 for Individual.
There is an initial offering period where the initiation fee is being waived. Once an offer of Membership is
made, there will be thirty days to pay a minimum deposit of $200 on their initiation fee, if applicable, or the
Membership will be offered to the next person on the list. The balance of the initiation fee can be paid in full
on the first month of Membership for a 5% discount or in monthly installments.
What is the guest policy?
Guest will be admitted to the pool only when accompanied by a Member and after registration at the
Manager’s office and payment of the appropriate guest fee.
While MB&RC is intended primarily for use by our paid Membership, we are fully aware that many
Members wish to share the MB&RC experience with family and friends who are not Members. Some of
these individuals may even be on our waiting list. While current policy does not limit the number of times an
individual or family may be invited as guests, the policy was not intended to result in Members consistently
bringing the same non-Members to the pool on a regular basis. The initiation and annual fees paid by
Members come with certain privileges that should rightfully be reserved as an expectation of Membership.
As stewards of MB&RC, we ask that Members continue to be mindful of the spirit in which the party and
guest policies were drafted and join us in helping to preserve their integrity. If current policies continue to be
ignored or abused, more restrictive policies will be considered.
is membership transferable?
Membership is not transferable. A Member may cancel his or her subscription at the end of the calendar
year and that Membership will not be renewed for the following year. If a Member chooses to cancel before
the end of the calendar year, he or she is still responsible for the balance of the annual fee during that year.

No smoking except in designated areas, no pets and no glassware at the pool! See the House Rules for a

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF APPLICANT
I understand and agree that acceptance for Membership is subject to approval of Mixson Bath & Racquet Club, L.P. (“Club
Operator”), or its authorized agent, and the availability of a Membership in the class I have applied for, and is conditioned
upon payment of the required initiation fee in full to Club Operator. Payment of the deposit and execution of this application,
any Membership agreement or any other document does not obligate or bind Club Operator to accept my application for
Membership in Mixson Bath & Racquet Club (“Club”).
I understand that by applying for Membership in the Club, I am applying for a non-exclusive license to use all or a portion of
the facilities of the Club in accordance with the class of Membership indicated. If my application is approved and I am accepted
for Membership, I agree, upon my execution of my Membership Agreement, such Membership shall be subject to the terms
and conditions of the following (hereafter collectively, the “Membership Documents”): (a) this Application for Membership,
including the provisions of this Acknowledgment; (b) my Membership Agreement;
(c) the Membership Plan, the House Rules and Regulations and such other documents or policies as the Club Operator and its
successors and assigns may establish and amend from time to time.
I acknowledge that the Club property and facilities are currently owned, operated and managed by Club Operator and that
in acquiring a Membership, I acquire no rights in or to the Club facilities or Club Operator, and do not have any right to
participate in the management or control of Club Operator or the Club facilities.
I hereby authorize Club Operator and its agents to contact all persons and entities listed in this Application and any other
persons and entities that I provide as references (Club Operator may request references in its sole and absolute discretion).
I hereby authorize Club Operator to conduct any and all investigations it deems appropriate, including, without limitation,
contacting credit reporting agencies and conducting criminal record investigations, in considering this Application. I hereby
authorize all persons and entities listed in this Application and all persons and entities that I provide as references to disclose
and release to Club Operator all information reasonably requested in connection with this Application.
I further acknowledge that I am applying for Membership for the sole purpose of obtaining social benefits
and recreational use of the Club facilities and not as an investment or with any expectation of making a profit from the
ownership or future transfer of the Membership.
