Here Come the Holidays!!!
Class Pre- Nursery (2015-16)
Dear Parents
There is no doubt that vacations are the most appropriate time for the students to refresh and
rejuvenate themselves to showcase their performance more enthusiastically .Children have
ample energy which needs to be channelized in the right direction to get the best out of them
.Keeping this in mind the holiday homework has been designed to make them more observant
and confident.
Homework Guidelines
(a) Submit all your work sheets in a properly labeled plastic folder.
(b) Complete all your work under parental guidance.
Learn with fun
(a) Help your child to recognize and identify the sounds of the letter A,B,C,D,E,F with the help
of the book All for kids words and encourage them to speak about the picture.
(b) Discuss and talk about the topic ‘Meet Me’, ‘My body’ ,’My home’ and ‘ My Family’ with
the child through book World around me.
Something Creative
(a) Lets colour and decorate the given sheets accordingly.
(b) Guide your ward to colour in same direction and with proper strokes the pages given in
drawing file and the book Developing arts. Page No. 15 to 19.
(c) Paste pictures showing various comparisons between you and your family members. For
eg. Who is tall/short, Young /old.(To be done in the scrap book)
(d) Paste pictures of circle, square, triangle shaped objects in your scrap book.
(e) Make a collage of pictures showing happy moments with your family on a drawing
sheet.(size 12’x 12’’).
Activities to enjoy
(a) Help your ward find objects in the house showing comparison big /small and play a
treasure hunt.
(b) Nurture your child’s interest be it art, music dance or anything else.
(c) Go for a evening walk with your child in the park and encourage them to talk about their
surroundings.

Let’s talk
 Be polite while speaking and talk softly.
 Encourage them to speak magic words like ‘Thank you’ , ‘Please’, ‘Excuse me’,
‘Sorry’.
 Encourage your child to help mother to clear the table.
 Inculcate proper toilet habits.
 Please train your child to become independent in his daily chores.
 Remember to converse in English throughout.
