Monday email 3-23-15 - Maple Mountain High School

MMHS Eagle HighFLIGHTS:
*MMHS FCCLA: Congratulations to Ashley Chidester, who was selected as the Utah State FCCLA President
for next year! We are so proud of her! Way to go Ashley!
*MMHS Chamber Singers: Our MMHS Chamber Singers performed at the Region 8 Chamber Choir Festival
at Wasatch High School on March 18th. They earned three straight superior ratings, and qualified for State!
We are so proud of these fine students and are grateful for their incredible contributions to not only our choirs,
but to Maple Mountain High School as a whole! I'm already sad thinking about letting them go all to soon at
graduation!
The Chamber Singers have had quite a remarkable season so far! In February, they were invited to perform
at the state-wide conference of the Utah Music Educators Association. Their performance at Dixie State
University during this conference was truly remarkable, memorable, and poignant.
If you have any of these great men and women in your class(es) please give them a high-five, and
congratulate them! I know that these students love us all, and any encouragement and recognition you offer
them will be remembered and sincerely appreciated.
*MMHS Dance Company: Maple Mountain High School Dance Company was one of 15 dance teams along
the Wasatch Front asked to audition for a chance to perform with the America First Jazz Dancers. MMDC
members Scottee Studdert and Alexa Knutzen will perform with 28 other high school dancers during the Utah
Jazz game versus the Sacramento Kings on April 8th. Congratulations!
