Monash SEED Position: Creative Designer Key Dates Applications Close: 11.59PM on 15th May, 2015 Interview Day: Saturday 24th May 2015 (Please ensure you are available on this day) Applicants Notified: by 29th May 2015 Job Summary Example The creative designer will work closely with the Director of Marketing to help determine the best ways for us to visually represent SEED's identity online and on campus. The creative designer will be responsible for creating graphics and layouts for social media, website content, print advertising, merchandise, banners and more. The Creative Designer will contribute to the strategic direction of SEED’s marketing and design, and will also be an innovative and creative thinker in developing campaigns. The applicant must be enthusiastic and have a flair for graphic design with a vision of expanding our reach via social media and on campus. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! It is a role that requires a bit of time and creative effort from you but also can be incredibly rewarding because you will have a huge part in driving the growth of SEED’s brand presence to achieve our goals for 2015. Estimated time commitment: 1-2 hours per week but the person needs to be flexible and available to respond to Committee requests to create graphics and post updates on social media as necessary. Responsibilities • Creating graphics and designs for social media posts, website content, print advertising, posters, merchandise, online newsletters, banners and more. • Coordinating and liaising with the Director of Marketing and SEED team to get a clear understanding of their visual communication requirements and produce creative designs accordingly across a range of projects. • Participate in team meetings and contribute positively on a creative and organisational level. • Help to manage our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter Requirements • A strong graphics portfolio and proven skills in design and creativity • Knowledge of design layouts, graphic fundamentals and typography • Experience with design software such as Photoshop and Illustrator • A team player with the ability to share ideas • Reliable, committed and able to meet deadlines • A passion to create social change • Excellent written and presentation skills • Must have a mobile phone that has mobile versions of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to ensure live updates from events.
