Attention Monbulk Pony Club Members!
It has come to my attention the lack of adequate Drinking water available to our members and there supporters - and as such the
committee are doing something about it. Plans of cleaning and maintaining our water tanks are being worked on however this is a
work in progress - insufficient rain fall holds us up on such plans. During autumn/winter an active plan will be carried out by Mia
Fiedler's dad Rob, until then we have come up with the following plan. Each member, along with siblings or attending supportive
adults - will each receive a FREE bottle of water. You will only need to ask for it from the canteen. Drinking plenty of clean fresh water,
especially during the warmer months is only commonsense, and the committee feels it is unfair to ask you pay for it. At this stage, it
will be limited to ONE bottle per riding member, however this will include siblings and or supporting grandparents and the like. Until a
better solution can be arranged for adequate drinking water, we hope you will appreciate the effort we have made to make this
possible.

Out and About
Results Welcome – if you are out there competing in PCAV, EFA, Inter-School or Open comps we
would love to hear about how you are doing! These results encourage our clubs younger riders to
get out there and give it a go!
Charlotte and Charlie went out to Werribee on 14th March and competed at the Equestrian Victoria
Amateur Horse Show. This show is for people who don’t make any money from the horse industry.
Charlotte was lucky enough to be awarded the honour of the Junior Sportsmanship Award. This award
was decided by the committee for the person under 18 years of age who always show’s respect and
consideration to the judges, stewards other competitors and most importantly their mount. I am very
proud that Charlotte always shows these attributes and has been recognised for her efforts, and as
always Charles was perfectly behaved all day and wasn’t shocked at all that everyone wanted to take a
photo of him!!
Tooradin Horse Trials
On Sunday the 15th May Monique and Reg competed at Tooradin Horse Trials, both horse
and rider did a fantastic job not only winning the highest dressage score but also
winning the Grade 2 Event. Monique will now be representing Monbulk Pony Club at the
State Horse Trials in May. We should be very proud that a Monbulk rider is competing at
such a high level and we hope her and Reg have another safe ride at State.
.
Sierra Dempster and Tom competed at Drouin CT Day Sunday 22nd March and managed 1st Place Combined Training
and Reserve Champion in Dressage.
Brittany and Sam have had such a successful few weeks. On 21st February we headed down for the State Horse
Showjumping Championships at Wonthaggi. It was a gruelling 38 degree day with not much shade. We were lucky
enough to be allocated Sam's caral in under the beautiful pine trees which cooled us down a bit. Britt was competing
with 3 other girls in C grade showjumping representing the South Metropolitan Zone, Britt was selected as number 1
rider. We got off to a very early start on the Sunday and had a very successful first round. The best three scores are
counted and it is worked out on a point system. After the first round we were in first place. The girls were all very
nervous and feeling the pressure. The second round was even better all girls doing an amazing job. With very few rails
knocked in both rounds they managed to keep their first position all day. First place at State level is an amazing
effort. The girls were so excited each getting a beautiful rug, sash and medallion. They also get their names on the
perpetual cup which the zone keeps. What an outstanding achievement girls. Well done!!
Then last weekend Britt and Sam went to Pakenham Horse Trials. After a much better dressage test than usual Britt
they managed to get clear showjumping and clear cross country on an extremely difficult steep course. They ended up
finishing with a 5th place. Sam's first placing in Horse Trials. Finally after only ever doing showjumping, Sam is
learning how to become an eventer. Well done Britt! All the hard work is starting to pay off.

I am a member of the Monbulk Pony Club.
I am respectful and considerate of my pony at all times, doing my best to make sure he is
comfortable, healthy and secure. I am encouraging and positive to other members because
everyone has the right to enjoy Pony Club free of put-downs and criticism.
I respect adult supporters, officials, instructors and my parents. Without them, there would be
