Just when she thinks she can escape him, she discovers he left his wallet in her car. When she goes to return it, he lures her into his place with news about his father. Malleable as Karen has shown us she is, she also gets persuaded to stay for dinner. Then the kiss finally happens. Finally, because the predictability factor, not because it should happen.
