KEAS IN ACTION
Sunday 24th May 2015 10.00am-12.00pm
Motu Moana to Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve and back to Motu Moana
Meet at Motu Moana Scout Camp, 90 Connaught Street, Blockhouse Bay
Join with the other Keas from our Zone and receive the "National Keas in Action" Badge
Keas throughout New Zealand will be doing the same thing so join in the Action.
All attending will require a small backpack containing
Drink, Snack Raincoat Warm clothes and a hat
Good walking shoes are a must
Leaders and Keas to wear uniform and scarf
- a personal first aid kit/Medication
Part of the walk is using the coastal dirt bush track and is unsuitable for pushchairs and very young
children and at one part there is approx 150-200 steps to go down and up. There is an alternative route
that those who are a little less enabled can take.
Keas, Parents and siblings will need to check in with their Kea Leader upon arrival so
when we set off for our walk we have a complete list of everyone participating in
case of emergency.
In the event of light to moderate rain the walk will still proceed, we all know that Auckland weather is quite
unpredictable. Please check our Zone website for cancellation www.moanarua.webs.com it will be updated at 9am
