EIGHTH GRADE BON VOYAGE @ THE V
3:30 to 5:30 pm
The Beadle 2015 Eighth Grade Bon Voyage celebration will be at The V on Monday, May 18th from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. Parents and
students who responded by the deadline that they will be attending the Bon Voyage need to be aware that since this is a school
sponsored event all school rules will apply and will be governed by those school rules. Parents will be responsible for transportation
to and from the event. Students will not be bused. Students will be given a ticket on Monday, May 18 th which they will need to be
admitted to the event.
BEADLE SPRING FLING
Thursday, May 21st
3:30 to 5:30 pm
Student Council is sponsoring the Beadle Spring Fling on Thursday, May 21st after school from 3:30 to 5:30 The festivities will
include a DJ with dancing, games, open gym to shoot hoops, photo booth with props & backdrops, Pizza, pop, cookies, and Door
prizes! You can buy tickets before or after school for $5.00 or you can buy a ticket the day of the dance at the door for $6.00.
SEVENTH GRADE BOYS INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL
Seventh grade boys’ intramural basketball games will be from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. on May 18, 19, 20 and 26. The intramural coaches
for basketball are Mr. Hancock and Mr. Koebel.
CHESS TOURNAMENT
The Beadle Middle School Chess Tournament will be next week on Wednesday, May 20th. It will be in the Information Center from
3:05 to 4:15. All Beadle students are welcome to compete. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each grade level
END OF SCHOOL YEAR REMINDERS

YEARBOOKS: There is a limited number of extra yearbooks available at a cost of $28.00. All fines, charges, and fees must
be paid in order for students to receive their yearbooks. Go to the office to make sure you name is on the list.

LOST AND FOUND: All items not claimed by the end of the school year will be donated to charity.

LIBRARY BOOKS: The end of the school is quickly approaching so we are asking that you please check your lockers and
home for library books, magazines or other materials that you have checked out and get them returned as soon as possible.
2015-2016 SEVENTH GRADE PHYSICALS and SPORTS PHYSICALS
Nebraska Law requires every seventh grade student to have either a doctor’s physical or waiver signed by you before entering seventh
grade in August. If your child will be participating in sports, they are required to have a physical. Seventh grade physicals and Sports
Physicals must be dated after May 1, 2015. Seventh Grade Physical Packets will be mailed in April 2015. If you have any questions,
please call Mrs. Kintzle, Beadle nurse at 402-715-6105.
PLEASE PICK UP YOUR PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES FROM THE HEALTH ROOM
If your child has any prescription medicine at school, the medicine will need to be picked up by an adult on or by Thursday, May 28th.
According to district policy, these prescription medicines cannot be given to your child to take home. However, non-prescription
medication will be sent home with your child. Please watch for these. The school nurse will dispose of any medication left at school
on the last day of school. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Kintzle, school nurse, at 402-715-6105.
MILLARD PUBLIC SCHOOLS SUMMER SCHOOL
MPS Summer School information flyer is available in the Beadle Office and a link for information and registration is now available.
Click here. The middle school sessions will be held at Russell Middle School. Current eighth grade students interested in summer
school will attend sessions at Millard West High School.

SUMMER OPPORTUNITY – LAUNCH LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP
Launch Leadership is a non-profit organization that promotes leadership development for 6 th-12th graders across the state. Launch
Workshop is a hands-on, interactive workshop where students learn about themselves and leadership by immersing themselves into
fun activities. Twelve Beadle students attended last year, and we're looking to get even more involved this summer! This summer’s
workshop takes place in Wayne, NE from July 21 st-25th. Students entering 6-8th grade would attend JAM (the Junior High
and Middle School Workshop). Students entering 9th grade would attend the Senior High Workshop. Both take place on Wayne

TED E. BEAR HALLOW SUPPORT GROUP
Ted E. Bear Hollow will begin offering a free support group for youth ages 3-18 and their adult caregivers who are grieving a serious
illness or injury. For more information and/or to register, please review the attached brochure. The first support group will begin July
11TH and will continue meeting from 12:00 to 1:30 PM on the second Saturday of each month.
