INTRODUCTION

A non-profitable government registered society, the Institute of Management &
Research Institute (MRI) has years of experience in the field of education. The
inception of MRI was envisioned with the purpose of imparting knowledge of
Management & Research studies.
The MRI envisions creating a pool of reliable, skilled manpower in the field of
Research and Management at various levels of competence. The emphasis is also
laid on catering to the needs and demands of the existing technical personnel in a
professional manner. Moreover, the MRI also provides a platform for meaningful
interaction among professionals from the industry, R&D organizations and
educational Institutions. An analysis based on this interaction and industry needs the
curriculum of MRI is revised periodically.
There has been a rapidly growing demand of highly trained engineer and
managers in India. The MRI is committed to meet this demand. Moreover, it has
been striving to provide updated knowledge in various fields of engineering,
management and Research studies the deserving youth and the practicing
managers. This is the reason the MRI has been set up as an autonomous body.
The MRI understands the future of the nation belongs to skilled manpower and
potential leadership. It has been mentoring students into trained engineers and
managers – thereby, contributing to the task of nation-building. In fact, a great
responsibility lies in shaping the careers of prospective aspirants through job
oriented courses. To enable all those who are working in responsible position in the
private and public sectors.

content is incapable of living up to the expectations of the industry. This is where a
void is created in the market. In the fast-changing socio-economic, technological

REGISTRATION
The students fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for registration. The registration form can be collected
from the respective centre of MRI by paying the registration fee of Rs. 2500/- (for students in India for all class
of members & should be submitted along with the registration form).
Form
The Registration Fees for students staying Abroad is US$ 200. The MRI reserves the right to reject any
application which is not duly filled in, does not accompany the required fees, and is not submitted within the
stipulated time or for any other reason.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The decision of the Secretary of the institution in this respect shall be final and binding upon the applicant.
After the registration, each member of the institution shall be provided with an Identity Card.
The Identity Card must be kept in personal custody of the member to prevent its misuse and has to be
produced in order to appear at an examination.
A revised Identity Card shall be issued to a member to effect any correction/ alternation on surrender of the
existing card.
In case of loss of the Identity Card, the concerned member is required to inform Secretary and a DUPLICATE
Identity card will be issued to him on payment of Rs. 100/-

depending upon the need of the institution.

4. With regard to any dispute arising in all matters including admission, returning of original
certificates, sending of study materials, personal contact programs, examination,
remittance of fees etc. it is specifically stated hereby that any aggrieved shall first send a
written representation to the concerned authority for actions and proceedings as per the
study center rules / Ordinances / Circulars on subjects and that officers / forums / under
special state and Central act shall alone have jurisdiction on all such disputes / claims in
course of activities of the Board.
It is also specifically stated hereby that in event of any other disputes / claims being
Entertained by legal actions (including suit / complaint / Dispute Appeal ) under any
Applicable laws, only the courts / forums / Tribunals / high courts having jurisdiction over
Subject and town with respective location of Board shall alone have exclusive jurisdiction
for all purposes.

In order to prepare the student thoroughly for the various
examinations, the MRI has devised the distance and online
education programs. This helps the students staying
overseas and those are unable to attend the regular
lectures due to job constraints. To further assist them the MRI
supplies printed course material and home assignment to
be prepared in their spare time and can appear for
examination.
EXAMINATION
Only members of MRI are permitted to appear at the examination conducted by the
institution in conformity with their eligibility.
The Institution examination will be held twice a year, generally in June / July and in
December / Jan in Termed as summer and winter examination respectively in the scheme.
Students have to appear for all the papers of a semester. Examination fees per semester is
500/- (US$20) for all the papers of that particular semester.
Students who have cleared some paper of a particular semester can appear for the
remaining paper. For such students examination fees per paper will be Rs 500/(US$20).Examination fee once paid is neither refundable nor transferable to a subsequent
examination on any account.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Change of study centre is not allowed within the same city / town, however in
exceptional cases transfer can be considered on merit or in genuine cases for which a no
objection certificate shall be obtained from the original study centre.
Board reserves the right to allow or disallow a study centre change case with or without No
Objection Certificate.
In case the study centre change is allowed by the Board, the candidate need to pay a
fees of Rs. 1000/-.
2. Candidate are advised to go through the prospectus before filling up the admission form
& follow other instructions from time to time written in prospectus as well as website.

3. The candidate shall remain in touch with the respective study centre for receipt of fees,
study material, evaluation, examination, hall ticket / admit card, results, marks cards etc.
4. Board shall not be responsible for delay in submission of new admission, Re-registration,
revaluation forms due to postal delays or courier or any other mode.
5. All candidates will be admitted provisionally subject to the checking of eligibility,
verification or other admission formalities. Eligible candidates would be issued an
enrollment number which would be declared on the website of the Board. Candidates /
Study centre need to refer this enrollment for all further correspondence with the Board.
Issue of study material, examination, results does not guarantee admission unless the
enrollment no. is issued to the candidate has to fill up & submit the re-registration form
along with the requisite fees for entry to next semester or year of the course already
enrolled.
6. The candidates appearing in compartment / reappear papers of any lower clad from
this Board or any other Board / Board simultaneously are required to communicate their
MC's of the results of the candidates declared in time.
7. Rejection of Admission form: Admission form may be rejected on following grounds –
Qualifying examination is not recognized by this Board.
Eligibility documents as mentioned in Admission & eligibility are not attached.

attestation guidelines given in this prospectus

EVALUATION & EXAMINATION METHODS
Upon satisfactory completion of Course Work and research methodology, which
shall form part and parcel of Ph.D Program. The Ph.D Scholar shall undertake
research work and produce a draft thesis within a reasonable time, as stipulated
time by the Board/University concerned.
Prior to submission of the thesis the student shall make a Pre – Ph.D Presentation in
the department that may be open to all faculty members and research students,
for getting feedback and comments which may be suitably incorporated in to
the draft thesis under the advice of the supervisor.
It is compulsory for all Ph.D Scholars to attend a Seminar conducted by
Board/University. Ph.D Candidates shall publish one research paper in a referred
journal before submission of the thesis.
The thesis produced by the Ph.D Students to the Board/University as the case may
be, shall be evaluated by at least two experts. On receipt of satisfactory
evaluation report, Ph.D Students shall undergo a Viva Voce Examination which
shall also be openly defended.

Students who have successfully completed all examinations of their selected
course will be awarded the Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy)

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR PH.D. PROGRAM
Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. program in various subjects.
Admission will be made through entrance test and interview as per Ph.D.
regulations of the Board/University.
SYLLABUS
There will be objective type questions consistent with graduate level from
AN EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAM
General English, General Awareness, Reasoning and Mental Ability, Statistics
and Computer Fundamentals.
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
There will be an objective type entrance test paper comprising of 5 sections
viz. Section 1 :General English, Section 2: General Awareness, Section 3:
Reasoning and Mental Ability, Section 4: Statistics, Section 5 : Computer
Fundamentals . The paper will be of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks. There
will be no negative marking.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PH.D. ADMISSION
Masters Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks in
aggregate (Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST and Physically handicapped
candidates.)Ph.D. Candidates who have already cleared Entrance Test and
One Semester Pre Ph.D. Program while pursuing M.Phil. Program is exempted
from this test.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Selection through entrance test and interview. At the time of interview,
doctoral candidates are expected to discuss their research interests/areas.
Applicants who have valid course Score of high level in any of the relevant
National Eligibility Tests like JRF, GATE/NET of UGC/CSIR & SLET of the State,
may be given preference as decided by the Dean of the concerned faculty.
FOR WORKING PROFESSIONALS
Selection through written test and/or interview. At the time of interview,
Doctoral candidates are expected to discuss their research interests/areas.
These candidates must have served with organization for minimum of 2 years
on a full time basis.

Lateral Entry & Credit Transfer.
MBA (Lateral entry to II sem): Candidate having 6 months management course certificate
or DBA.
MBA (Lateral entry to III sem) : candidates having done PGDBA
(Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration )
OR having 3 years working experience in Managerial field.
Lateral entry shall be allowed only in those courses where it is specifically mentioned
Candidate pursuing courses from other Boards can continue their remaining part of the
course from the study centre subject to the following conditions:
· That the previous Board is recognized.
· That the candidate will have to appear for deficient paper as decided by this Board
along with other papers by paying fees of Rs.500/- per paper. The candidate will fill in the
due paper / Credit Transfer form along with normal admission form with the requisite fee for
admission to a higher semester or year of this Board's course.
Declaration of Results, issue of mark cards.
· Provisional results will be declared on the website of the Board, Mark cards will be issued to
the students after the declaration of the results.
· Board reserves the right to with hold the result of candidate (s) in case of enquiry, pending
verification, wrong information or any other reason as appropriate.
· Correction in result / mark cards should be brought to the notice of the Board within 30
days of declaration of Provisional result.
· Corrections in results / mark cards related to the name of the candidate, father's name
etc. would be done as per the information furnished in the admission form.
· Any changes related to above say would attract a fee as decided by the concerned
Board.
