We would like to apprise you of the evaluation process which is as per the CBSE guidelines. The
assessment would include Formative and Summative Assessments. There will be two Formative
Assessments in each term.
Evaluation Scheme for the first Semester : (VI-VIII)
FA 1 = 30 marks. [UT] PEN PAPER TEST
FA 2 = 30 marks. a) Class work, homework, assignment:
b) One Group Activity
c) One individual Activity





Summative Assessment = 90 marks ( First Term Exam in September )
Overall grading (per Semester):10% of FA1 + 10% of FA2 + 30% of SA1 = 50% in each Semester.
Similar pattern will be followed in second semester.
Weightage of the 50% First term marks and 50% Weightage of the Second term marks.
Activity based Formative Assessment tasks will be given by the subject teachers from
time to time. The Unit Tests will be held on Tuesdays. The First Unit Test cycle starts from
May 05, 2015. The UT schedule is as follows.

Revision for Second Assessment for Grade VI-VIII
Second Semester Assessment for Grade VI -VIII
Assessment Policy:
(i)
It is mandatory to obtain 40% marks (Grade C2), IN EACH SUBJECT individually to pass. This applies to every assessment
(Unit Test, SA, Test Series, Preboards etc.) conducted throughout the Academic Session.
(ii)
Appearing in all Assessments is mandatory for appearing in the CBSE Board Exam. \ In case he/she has a genuine problem or
is suffering from any infections or contagious disease and is likely to be absent for an assessment, an application along with
medical certificate must be submitted before the day of exam. The case will be reviewed by the Principal on an individual basis.
(iii)
The student must have minimum 80% attendance in the Academic Session, failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear in
the CBSE Board Exam.
