Bear Library is proud to announce that Moscow High School’s Miles Maxcer has been selected as the First Place winner in Idaho’s Letters
About Literature Level III writing competition. Luisa Graden won honorable mention in the competition. Miles and Luisa have been invited
to Boise for a luncheon at the Statehouse to accept their awards. Miles’ winning letter has been sent on as Idaho’s entry in the national level
competition.

The application deadline for ASB Executive Offices has been extended until Wednesday, April 22nd. Forms are in the office. Please
consider running for an office!
MHS Drama Club cordially invites you to a fundraiser— “Finding the Light – A Showcase of Talent” on Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 pm. Join
us for an evening of entertainment and help support a new lighting system for the Auditorium stage. Doors open at 6:30 pm for
refreshments, show at 7:00 pm.
Prom is May 2nd from 9 to midnight in the 1912 Center. Tickets will go on sale April 27.
DANCES - Several school-sponsored dances are held throughout the year. They are scheduled from 9:00 - 12:00 midnight. No entry into a dance is
allowed after 10:30 p.m. If a student leaves a dance, no re-entry is allowed. MHS dances are considered extra-curricular and therefore subject to
school extra-curricular policies. Attendance is limited to currently enrolled students. Out of school guests will be allowed with prior
administrative approval for juniors and seniors only.
 No admittance after 10:30 p.m.
 MHS dances are “Good Night” dances…once a student leaves the facility; they are not permitted to return.
 All school and district policies, including extra-curricular policies are in effect for dances.
 Dancing must be appropriate and in good taste. Styles of dancing such as moshing, surfing, slam dancing, dirty dancing, or sexually
suggestive/explicit sexual conduct will not be allowed. Students dancing inappropriately will be removed by the administration or teacher
chaperones and may be suspended for other dances.

JV and Varsity Cheer tryouts are May 4th-8th from 3:45 pm-5:15 pm in the MHS gym. No previous cheer experience is required and boys
are welcome to tryout. Application packets can be found in the office. Any questions can be directed to [email protected].

An Idaho Food bank School Pantry is conveniently located right in your school to help you get emergency food for your family for no
charge.
Regular Pantry Hours
The pantry is open for distribution from 2:30 to 4:30 PM on

Lower level of high school; Use 5th Street Lower Parking lot. Stop in during these hours, and school staff or volunteers will happily assist
you in building a food box for your family. You can choose the food you receive right off the pantry shelves! Appointments: If you cannot

and to make an individual appointment to access the pantry and select your food.
West Point Admissions will be having an information brief in Boise on May 9th at the Gowen Field Base Auditorium. This is a great
opportunity to meet with Field Force liaisons who will help you through the process as well as have your questions answered. For those
