You do not need to make this for QOV (unless you want to.) I made three blocks and use it for a table runner for Memorial Day, July Fourth and Labor Day. Please do bring your block for Block Party Show and Tell in May (or whenever you get it done!) BLOCK SIZE: 9 Yz " unfinished For each block cut: Background - use a medium tan/beige to light brown, solid or print that reads solid Four (4) 3 'A" squares; labeled A One (1) rectangle 3 Yi" by 1 Y2"; labeled 6 Two (2) rectangles 2 Y2" by 3 Yz"; labeled C Two (2) 1 Yz" squares; labeled O Two (2) rectangles 2" by 1 Yz"; labeled Shirt - use a medium to dark navy blue print with white and/or tan One (1) 3 Yz" square for shirt body; labeled p" Two (2) rectangles 2 Yz" by 1 Yz" for sleeves' labeled G Pants - red and white stripes or red print with white Two (2) rectangles 3 Yz" by 1 Yz"; labeled ^ Hands and Face - black solid One (1) rectangle 2 by 1 Yz" (head); labeled Two (2) 1 Yz" squares (hands); labeled JT Hat - black solid, sparkly black print, a stripe (black and white or red and white); or, you can pick something that you fee! would be appropriate for Uncle Sam's hat. Assemble the hat/face square, the two hand/arm squares, and the leg squares per the diagram.
