The teachers balance student learning styles, reading levels, academic abilities, behavior, ratio of boys and girls, and overall class size. Teachers work diligently t place children within a class that will provide the best learning environment to meet his/her individual needs. We try to find the best mix of students to insure a successful year. If you have any special requests for homeroom for the 2015-2016 year, please submit your request in writing to Mr. Duffy by April 24. Your request needs to state specific academic reasons for your request and provide a 1st choice and a 2nd choice option. We will consider all r equests, but we will need to maintain balance in our classr ooms. Par ent r equests will not be the sole determining factor when placing your child. Students will be notified of their homeroom teacher in a welcome back to school letter in mid July. (Please make sure that we have your correct address.) Regardless of your child’s placement , please remember, it is very important to remain positive. The first week of school will set the tone for the entire year. We want to see you child get off to a terrific start. Thanks for your cooperation and support.
