2015
HOW CAN EACH OF US BE
THE CHANGE WE MOST
WANT TO SEE?
Our annual Wall Ball event brings together
hundreds of Mural Arts family members in the
Philadelphia region to raise funds in support of
Mural Arts’ mission: to create powerful and
engaging public art projects that transform our
spaces, communities, institutions, and individual
lives. Wall Ball also supports high-quality art
education and outreach programs that provide
people with the inspiration and tools to seize
their own future.

We believe art ignites change.
We annually produce 50 - 100 public art
projects involving a range of people, sites,
and issues in Philadelphia. Projects respond to
1) needs and opportunities articulated by civic
leaders or identified in neighborhood plans;
2) project applications from community
leaders; 3) topics relevant to youth and
vulnerable adults in our three program areas:
Art Education, Restorative Justice, and
Behavioral Health. Programs and projects
annually engage more than 20,000 people,
while docent-led tours offer 15,000 people
exposure to our collection, and 50,000+
follow our work online or subscribe to our
bi-annual magazine, Off the Wall.

THE
EVENT
Since its inception in 2004, Wall Ball has consistently provided critical support to
Mural Arts through the generation of unrestricted revenue. Over the years, Wall Ball
has grown to be an annual Philadelphia Who’s Who, with the 2014 event attracting
more than 650 guests and raising more than $500,000. Don’t miss an opportunity to
be a part of this one-of-a-kind event!
THE ATTENDEES
Wall Ball attendees are an eclectic and diverse group,
representing all of Philadelphia’s neighborhoods and
surrounding counties, as well as parts of Southern New
Jersey and Delaware. Attendees are business leaders,
politicians, members of the regional philanthropic
community, representatives from the arts and culture
sector, artists, and Philadelphia residents.
PROGRAM BOOK ADS
This four-color Wall Ball 2015 event program book
contains the agenda for the evening’s entertainment
and speaking program, auction highlights, information
about the many facets of Mural Arts, and ads purchased
by sponsors and supporters of our programs. You
can write personal messages to the honorees in your
purchased ad. The event program book is produced
in a minimum run of 700 copies (final print run
determined by ticket sales) and distributed to all Wall
Ball event attendees. Enclosed please find advertising
specs and a reservation form.
Once again, this year’s event will feature fabulous

OUR
HONOREES
Our honorees exemplify Mural Arts’ call to ignite change when and where needed.
Tony Schneider, a longtime Mural Arts Board member, is deeply committed to
improving primary and secondary education in Philadelphia, to the Philadelphia rowing
community, and to Mural Arts’ Restored Spaces, which engages communities in
revitalization and environmental stewardship of public spaces. Similarly, Connor
Barwin was so moved by the neglected state of Ralph Brooks Park in Point Breeze that
he has joined and helped to fund efforts to make the park a community hub once
again—all according to the neighborhood’s wishes.
Wall Ball 2015 is a celebration of Tony’s and Connor’s work and that of countless other
friends of Mural Arts who continue to move the needle with great public art and
impactful social practice. Join us to see how Mural Arts will continue to evolve over the
coming years—and lead the larger transformation across our region.
TONY SCHNEIDER
CONNOR BARWIN
Tony Schneider has been involved with
Mural Arts for close to a decade. He has
been among the organization’s most
active champions, fully engaged in its
projects and generous with his time
and support to help guide the
organization. Tony is being honored for
his commitment, passion, and
willingness to be involved in the
mission and endeavors of Mural Arts.
Connor Barwin is probably best known
as a linebacker for the Philadelphia
Eagles, but he is becoming equally
well known for his investment in urban
communities. Connor asked Mural
Arts to help him create new murals
at the intersection or 20th and Tasker
Streets, where he is spearheading
the revitalization of a community park
and playground. We honor him for
his generosity to this effort and his
love for Mural Arts.
SWOON
Tony Goldman Visionary Artist Award
This award recognizes artists who, like
visionary developer Tony Goldman, use public
art to re-imagine and re-energize urban
spaces.
Caledonia Curry, who exhibits her artwork
under the name SWOON, is a classically
trained visual artist and printmaker who has
spent the last 14 years exploring the
relationship between people and their built
environments. Her early interventions in the
urban landscape took the form of wheatpasting portraits to the walls of cities around
the world, and her public practice has
expanded to using art to rebuild communities
and humanize today’s most pressing social and
environmental issues. Curry’s work has been
collected and shown internationally at galleries
and museums, including the Museum of
Modern Art, New York; the Brooklyn Museum;
the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; and
the São Paulo Museum of Art.
