Student Registration Update/Residency Verification 2015-2016

Dear Parent/Guardian
It’s time to begin the Registration/Proof of Residency clearing process for school year 2015-2016. We hope to make this process as easy as possible
for you. In accordance with California State Law, Proof of Residency must be verified for each student on an annual basis. The Online Registration
Process and Verification of Residency is a requirement for all students and must be completed before students can be registered for classes for next
school year.
The process is to update your student’s demographic and contact information on-line and print the residency documents:
•
First step: Update your student’s demographic data: address, phone number(s), primary contact(s) information, and any emergency contact(s)
information.
•
Second step: After completing the On-line process and the Pending tab is cleared, click on the Submit bottom, and then click on “Print
Registration Documents” to print a total of three (3) pages: Affidavit Verification of Residency, Online Registration Signature and
Student Consent and Waiver. These documents need to be returned to the school on the dates and times listed below along with your Proof
of Residency dated with in the last 60 days, reflecting same name and address as the Affidavit Verification of Residency.

If your Residency Designation is Joint/Foster Parent/Court Appointed Guardian/Current or New Caregiver, additional documentation
will be required. (see Acceptable Documents for Proof of Residency attached)
Enclosed you will find:

Registration Instructions Letter with your User Name and the web address for the Online Program https://olr.sweetwaterschools.org./
•
List of Acceptable Documents for Proof of Residency depending on the type of residency designation.
•
On-Line Registration Assistance Schedule (ONLY assistance will be available, proof of residency will not be accepted until June)
To complete the Annual Registration/Residency Verification, please bring in your documents to the school on any of the following dates and times:

NOTE: Proof of Residency must be provided ONLY at one of the above times in order to ensure your student’s continuing enrollment next fall.
Students without proof of residency will not be permitted to attend Gear Up Day (Orientation) in July or attend classes beginning July 22, 2015.
Computer assistance will be available only on the dates and times indicated above. Please bring your letter with the User Name/Parent Code and
Proof of Residency documents according to your type of residency designation. (see Acceptable Documents for Proof of Residency).
Please bring your student with you to assist in this process:
Gear Up Day(Orientation) packets will NOT be mailed home. You will receive your Gear Up
Day(Orientation) packet upon providing proof of residency. (See dates and times listed above).
